yeh I am but whats your point
I wanted to have Gondor in BFME2 to get new skins as they are in the Absinith mod for BFME1 or just have the default campaign color as it is in BFME1.

This should be moved into BFME 2 modding.
Anyways, what you do is this: Go into gamedata.ini
Search for 'HouseColor'
Then, when you find this: 'EnableHouseColor = Yes'
Make it say: 'EnableHouseColor = No'
What happens if the startup crashes?

And also, it shouldnt crash. Works perfectly fine for me. I've even modified the original ini.big to have that in gamedata, so house colors are always disabled. Are you sure you didnt add anything, just changed the = Yes to = No

You can't move it, but a mod or admin can.

Well I cant find the gamedata.ini in my BFME directory because I think that is just a part of the whole ini.big file (acoording to a downloaded mod i had lying around in my documents). It had an ini folder with a lot of game info in it. Mabye thats why its called ini.big.
When I did change the housecolor info in the ini.big but it crashed with that microsoft visual c++ codec I posted.
[Sorry if this is a hassle for u Celegin].

Art wise, EA did a fairly good job with the Elves, with some exceptions. Arwen and Elrond, of course, look fantastic, as well as the Rivendell unit itself. Mithlond units have some nice elements, but the bare arms annoy me. Same with the Mirkwood archers. Un-upgraded Lorien units are nice, but their multicoloured upgrades are incredibly bleh. Glorfindel... Nrr. Don't get me started on the white hair. I dislike asymetrical armour that is as it is simply because it can be, so Thranduil is a no (though the face has a great family resemblance to Legolas). Haldir... They could have upped the quality a good deal there. I've never seen Galadriel, so I can't comment there. Architecture is lovely.
Gameplay wise, I honestly can't say, as I don't own the game and don't plan on ever buying it. From what I've seen, Glorfindel is thoroughly dissappointing.
I won't compare my Elven faction to EA's.

...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...
...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...
...Stand, Men of the West! Stand and wait! This is the hour of doom... ~ Gandalf the White, The Return of the King
