not done yet, gotta try and get the hang of making heads but I think it's nice for my second model from scratch, whatcha think?

oh and anyone know what it looks like from the back? I can't find a pic of this bastard from behind

In all my years of looking I dont think I've ever seen it from the back. But on the other side your improving, Alot of details I see you've put in.

Try a couple of things, shorten up the torso and scale it down a little. MS in gundam have shorter torsos and longer legs than a normal human. Also slim him up a bit it should make him look sleeker.

Keep plugging at it modeling is a fickel thing, and everyone takes a while to develope there own style and way to do things. If you were to compare how sykes and I make mobile suits, you may find two very different process's.

I have seen the back of it in the PS2 game Never Ending Tomarrow. Unfortunately I have no way of getting a picture of it to show you. But if you have the game check there. The model is looking good stargazer, keep up the good work.

aight guys, I updated the model abit, redid the torso and made it slimmer and that.



whatcha think now? lol, i'm starting to really get into 3d modelling...

I just knew some one was going to ask that, the head is probly one of the hardest and most time consumeing things to make. But your getting better at alot of things I noticed alot more extruding and such.

BAH! heads and the main camera in the cockpit are for pussys! real men go out and die without knowing what in front of them shot em!

anyway, I MIGHT do the head, though it looks really hard.

Easiest way to start a gundam like head is just make a cube, (i useually have 3x3 sections) and use the cut tool to shape it the way you want (eyes, ect...) once you get it the way you want it use the smooth modifier to get rid of those squared off edges.

After you get the hang of doing it that way, you then move on to useing a plane instead of a box which looks alot better, Its alot harder though.

why dunt u buy a model like above 2 see the whole gundam's image, then u can c its head, the bak, anywhere, easier 4 u 2 model it i think
