I think I'm going to be out of CCW2...

Not only are we going to have mechs, which you all know my distaste for, but we're going to have two countries with a seemingly inexhaustible supply of money, neutron bombs, currently theoretical and forty year away EMP devices the size of a golf ball, and on top of that, nerve gas. We're also going to have a flying spaceship which has a huge laser, we already have two ground based uberplatforms which by description can literally "swat anything out of the sky", and we're going to have two spacebased platforms, one with a more realistic magnetically contained and difficult to aim plasma gun and another with something which hasn't been clearly defined, but I'm sure will be used to destroy entire cities at once. We've seen how WMDs have been used in this game. They haven't been used for storyline purposes as promised, they've been flung around like toys used by irresponsible children, and they've been threatened in circumstances which in the real world would result in nearly every civilized nation on the planet joining together for a joint disarmament (See: Iraq, 1991, Iraq, 1984). Now, with the sequel and more ubertech popping up literally by the day, it just feels like eventually it's going to get so ridiculous that we're all just going to sit back behind our invulnerable shields of flying mechs, supercruising laser platforms, and ABLs which can swat anything out of the sky (Which, if you'd like me to go over, is infeasible). What is happening here is something that everyone in this game is guilty of, we're ruining the game, completely. Through the conquest and annexation of countries, some of which casued people to leave the game, pointless bickering over stupid projects which in the real world would never be considered, and foundless technology based on pure theory (Like, warp drive. If I were to contemplate that, you'd all call me nuts with good reason. It looks the same way here to me). We already have huge missile sites that can fire off thousands upon thousands of ballistic missiles, flying space planes with huge lasers, a huge laser installation, a huge railgun installation with a ridiculously inaccurate range, a gigantic nuclear tank which costs millions, stealth planes which travel at or around Mach 4, and plans to produce even more outlandish and ridiculous things that will absolutely kill the RP with allegations of "Well it's faster than your missiles", or "The ABL just shoots down the AIM-9", both ridiculous statements at their very core.
And that, in short, is why I cannot in good faith go on with CCW2. Either my country will fall before then, or I'll give it away. I'll instead focus on the prequel, and I will be banning all WMDs unilaterally, and ubertech will be met with a quick removal.
Can you imagine a World War I with jet planes? A World War II with spaceships? A Vietnam with Vulcans? Yeah, same stuff here. Sure, you're all thinking advanced, but way too advanced, like not even twenty years in the future but one hundred. And economies seem to be infallible.
So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cancel my flying nuclear reactor powered aircraft carrier/laser platform and replace it with a new tank. A cheap, feasible one.

Don't see where I have some blame there. I do see however what your overall picture is of the RP. Too bad you won't join, but good luck and have fun with the prequel .What is happening here is something that everyone in this game is guilty of, we're ruining the game, completely.

ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

First of all is the WMD. I originally planned for it to be a story element, and nothing more. But then Ali comes along with that fucking Targon, something which I never expected. I had no real reason to keep him from having it at the time, knowing that it was under the "no WMD" rule, since they are only to be deterrents. Then he sells it to ComFIAN, and Torn uses it in defense of his homeland. Now, originally I was supposed to get nuked by Belka, striking a near-death blow to me. So, we decided to integrate Torn's WMD assault on me into that plan. Other than that, WMDs haven't really been used much. I am pissed, however, how people appear to be ignoring that little rule I put in place which I mention sixty or seventy times.
The Arkbird, Stonehenge, and Divine Shield are also for story purposes. They were to be used when the inevitable invasion of the AU mainland came about. Sadly, with Ali fucking out and Torn noplace to be seen, along with you, Spence, leaving ComFIAN, that is now an impossibility. Belka's weapons; the Scinfaxis, Megalith, and SOLG; were originally intended to symbolise Belka's offensive tactics, while my superweapons were meant to show I was more of a defensive nation.
The one thing you should all stop doing is stop considering Ash and myself as players. We aren't. We're the ones who drive the story. You're not supposed to try to beat us alone or outperform us. It's like that for a reason: You are the player. We're here to serve. You're supposed to take the lead, and we lead the story part of it. So stop considering us as players and instead think of us as NPCs.

Hope people don't ubertech in CCW2 and CCW is quite an interesting story IMHO it's just the uberteching that kinda ruins it for me to enjoy reading it.

Soul 2.4
Background process. Has something to do with some activity going on somewhere. Sorting junkmail, I think. No value or interest. Doesn't do much except hog resource.

I mentioned numerous times how WMD would be for show only, and would only be used for story purposes. I can't be bothered to go back and dig for quotes, but I said it.
And like I said, don't think of me as a player. Stonehenge is more of a last resort weapon, but it is meant as a deterrent. Besides... Upon Ash's return I was going to discuss with him about a joint ComFIAN attack on it...
Too fucking bad that can't happen now. :(

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

I have been liking this RP less, since a lot of posts arose that I just couldn't understand and gripe fully. On quite some occasions I asked people, but that does make you feel a bit.. hmm.. hard to describe in one word. Anyway, to me the most fun was the trading etc part, and the occasional posts about my Queen and Council.

I don't think all of us are totally quitting. Spence was just stating he'd not be part of CCW2. I may join CCW2, don't know yet.
