Before the Belkan Patriotic War and the eventual Great Union, Belka was divided. Indeed, she was four independent nations, each of which utterly loathed and despised the others. These were:
The Concordat of Nord Belka
Communist people's republic.
Far-left
Encompasses what would later become the provinces of Nord Belka and Belka Tropica.
Capital: Postomor
Starting Military:
340,000 CNBA Army
300,000 CNBN Navy
90,000 CNBAF Air Force
Military Ideology: Highly defensive. Will call out military alliances to try and get an edge on her Belkan Neighbours.
The West Belkan Federal Republic
Representative Federal Democracy
Centre
The provinces that would be later known as West Belka and Nova Portens fall under their jurisdiction.
Capital: Cinigrad
Starting Military:
630,000 WBFRA Army
70,000 WBFRN Navy
210,000 WBFRAF Air Force
Military Ideology: Has seen the benefits of a more advanced air force, and is pouring resources and energy into it. They are, as a result, heavily air force-oriented. Usually holds an aggressive stance against non-democratic regimes.
The Free Republic of Belka Major
Fascist Dictatorship
Far-right
The nation that would later win the civil war and encompass the whole of the Free Republic of Belka, the FRBM is highly militaristic, authoritarian and expansionist.
Starting Military:
1,200,000 FRBMA Army
190,000 FRBMN Navy
10,000 FRBMAF Air Force
Military Ideology: Overwhelm with superior force, however their aerial technology is somewhat backward. This would later be leveraged by the technologies acquired from the other three provinces after the Belkan Patriotic War.
The Kingdom of Easternmost Belka
Constitutional Monarchy
Centre-right
The most economically powerful of the four, the Kingdom of Easternmost Belka is very much a backward nation in terms of culture and ideology. Her military is also rather ramshackle. However, their prospects for trade allow them to be a force to be reckoned with.
Starting Military:
310,000 Eastern Grand Royal Army
0 Navy (landlocked)
22,000 Eastern Royal Air Force

Of course, I have that little corner that says 'Given to AE', and do NOT have the corner that says 'Former Casmire Territory'.

When I made the map last night I put those in as disputed territories with shaders. I just decided to do that so people can keep track of land claims that haven't been settled. If you could create an internal map of the four factions that I can throw into the current map, that would be greatly appreciated.
Of course accepted.

Just check the provincial borders. That map has them, marked in grey.
The Chezflaun Pass belongs to Casmire, or to somebody else before that. The part that I gave you belongs to the West Belkan Federal Republic...
At any rate, here's a map. The red lines represent borders between the four nations. Greys are provincial borders. Belka was originally seven provinces. About four hundred years ago they united to these four. In the course of this CCW, the four will become one.
Belka Major is what you would consider 'Present-Day' Belka...however even the FRBM isn't half as bad as present day Belka.
