Gargs?
Gargs who look suprisingly much like Contaminators from E. BFD?

And operate not unlike them...such was the design
A good tactic, Twilus, is to use them on your own Rebel Gunners, especially when you've got a good stock of Heavy Gunners (they render the Rebel almost obsolete apart from the fact the Rebel can garrison and the Heavy can't, IIRC). The Rebels become Gargs, who are tougher, self-heal and can deal more damage...only downside is they have to melee-attack and they're non-player controllable.
Bring out rebel gunners and use a cloning vat, build up an uber-army of Gargs and even Nexus will have trouble. If there were a Slave Miner on the game, I'd spam them up that way too

1: Awesome.
2: omg Ed avatar XD.
It reminds me of the Voltagor Amplifier from MO 1.2... I like it, nonetheless. Keep up the good work.

When I face the Rebel AI I always get pwned by the Infectors turning all of my infantry into Gargs. I usually like to build a lot of infantry, so a couple of them get turned into Gargs and pretty soon ALL of my infantry are Gargs and are killing my entire base..

Build base defenses. They will help dramatically. Also anti-infantry tanks are usually cheap and effective
I refuse to have a signature.
Oh wait...

Yeah, I usually hate building base defenses in RTS games, but in RS you get utterly destroyed by the AI without them.

If you're NEXUS, that isn't a problem in the slightest (if it ever got to a point where you NEEDED Annihilators to stave off a Garg onslaught, you deserve to lose! ), but I assume you're playing AL since don't have your own Garg counter-garg army and their ground-based base defences tend not to be too effective against massed forces like gargs and infantry in general. Pillboxes can only do so much, and linked Chrono Towers get overwhelmed by hordes quite quickly. The Particle Cannon dead zone's pretty damning against melee units too
So yeah, the AL have a tougher job beating a big Garg horde.
Pulverizers will ruin any FL commander's day You can also counter it by not building infantry!

Yeah, frankly I hate infintry. If I have some left over by the time I attack a base, I'll send the infintry over too for some cannon fodder. Otherwise, it's tanks and planes.
