On a newly posted gamespot designers diary of cnc3 (link) some new screens show us a GDI base:

Now, I'll be honest and say I like these base structures. However the poorly-scaled units ruin it.

Aw looks very nice IMO. The Structures look amazing and the burned out ground looks top notch too.

They're a bit bland, but they certainly don't look half bad. I have to agree with the scaling though - it's even worse than previously suggested by other shots.

That "carryall" looks like it can't carry anything either...

Personally I like the buildings except the building I expect to be the conyard (right one on second pic)

IMO all the structures look okay. If the gameplay turns out sort of like the one on Ground Control 2, then I will be glad. Also I expect to see "Futuristic" looking infantry because the modern one will look stupid after the one showed in TS... Hey I kinda liked the old infantry in TD and RA1 though.

I like those buildings too, especially the barracks. Somehow they could combine the original design with a cool futuristic look.

EDIT: Also true for the powerplants.

Though the streets look bad in my opinion... since they are flat, they look like they were rolled out like a carpet.

I'm getting the feeling we're going to be suffering from the Generals style camera that doesn't let you see anything. Should be easily modified though ^^

Where are the barracks anyways? I can't see em.. My fav barracks were the Soviet ones from RA1. The GDI Barracls from TD were cool too. :p

I believe the building just below the radar in the second shot is a Barracks, because of all those infantry stood outside.

Yeah, it looks like a Barracks building. I'm not sure of the one to the right of that though :|

Given the suckitudinous scaling and the fact the building nextdoor appears to be a CY, I'll wager money that it's a War Factory...if you see the side nearest the infantry, you see a sort of what appears to me to be a blast door (the curved bit). That's just a wild guess tho.

If that's a factory, it's the shitest looking factory I've ever seen. I was thinking it might be a silo.

God, I hope not. I hated silo logic. Though, sadly, it is a logical option :( ...I didn't think of that.

Just spend your money and you won't need silos :p.

If you're like me, you always have to build LOADS of silos because the cashflow comes in quicker than you can actually produce units and structures ;)

There's nothing to suggest DX10 in CnC3. I'd expect it to be an XP orientated title. This isn't Microsoft, they're looking to actually sell games rather than attempt to force people to "upgrade".
