With the war on 3 fronts now Clandonian commanders planned their ultimate battle the one that would give them freedom or persecution. The Tyranistani declaration of war was a deep shock, after the declartion ComSTAR was activated remotely shutting down the Clandonian F-22 Raptors that had been sold via a source code firmware crash effectively making them useless on the ground, as forces rushed to defend several C-5's took off unloading pallets into the air as tiny parachutes fell to the ground covering the ground with the two-stage chemical mines glistening in the desert sunshine.

Teritorial Army and civilian armys had taken to reinforce the cities on the Northern Border meaning that they had to fight to the death to defend them, which was what they had prepared. Thousands of ordinary citizens who had owned weaponry had been told to report to their gun clubs and orginisations to prepare if occupation went ahead with a gurrila war with the Clandonian Special Forces going underground mixing into their civilian lives once again.

Tactical fighter groups had been deployed using small airstrips once housing private jets, these small groups ideal for delivering CAS to ground troops. Clandonian airspace was heavily congested with aircraft flying in and out supplies, troops, equipment to around Clandonia. With surplus rifles, ammo and equipment all out now Clandonia was pulling all the stops out to stop the facist invaders.

OOC: Just a technicality, but there is no such thing as a civilian army. It would be a paramilitary, partisan or resistance force I'll leave Torn to respond, but I wonder, how exactly can you upgrade firmware like that? I don't think F-22 raptors spend their ground time connected to the Internet o_0

OOC: Using my talked about ComSTAR system which is like an internet, the firmware could be messed around with remotely. The idea of ComSTAR was joint ComFIAN communications making it easier to work with however, seeing as he bought Clandonian made F-22's they are now nothing more than display models for a museum with the source code lock out.

Clandonian forces were now in retreat moving to their safety line of defence they were now extremely worried several government officials had begun evacutation to Auroria where the military had secured the country after the anarchist riots.

Several transport aircraft had touched down in Union City bringing senior leaders to a safe haven, it looked like the Belkan forces could be not stopped without AU help, but after they had been attacked by the Belkans not much contact had been heard. Senior Commanders had spectulated that another week would mean surrender, provisions were now in place the war would be fought from abroad with the Clandonian Navy and Airforce supported by special forces and rebel groups making the occupation forces lives hell. It was hoped that if a surrender occur, as many Clandonian forces would leave in a mass air evacuation with anyone else fleeing the facists.

However, this was a backup plan Clandonian commanders were preparing a massive defence network now in full place, the only thing they would be able to do is nuke the defences. Deep underground with their own environmental systems they would survive anything but a large scale nuclear direct hit. The plan was to blockade the Belkans in then move round cutting them off with highly mobile troops then bombard the troops trapped in the corridor.

The Tyranistanis would be delt with in other ways with Clandonia having support from internal groups and with the new strain of targon it would lull them into a false and dangerous sense of security. Some had speculated that Belka was behind the King of Tyranistans pressure to declare war. Clandonia hoped it would win, if not then they would certainly give the Belkans a kick in the teeth.

The combined Belkan and Tyran assault force (hope you don't mind, Torn) prepared one final onslaught on the Clandonians, throwing everything they'd deployed into the area in a massive blitz offensive. Meanwhile, blanket-bombing techniques pummelled known and likely defensive strongpoints close to the advancing ground forces, moving their range forward as the ground forces advanced. Other airstrikes were trained on the Clandonian capital, with a cash reward going to the pilot whose bombs levelled the main government complex. That was where this strike was headed. Ten bombers in no particular formation streaked over on their way to the capital, escorted by as many fighters. There wasn't really all that much to be careful of between the bombers and the capital. The Belkans knew they'd won. The Clandonians couldn't hope to hold out forever, especially after points of major logistical importance had been stabbed at in the early stages of the campaign; food was harder and harder to get to the front lines, and the wounded harder and harder to get back to HQ for medical attention.

The attack was fierce comms went down after 2 hours with central command, Clandonian forces were in chaos many had sort surrender to the Belkans, they had been shot instantly but the leadership now was discussing ways to surrender.

With the continued bombardment fighters went up with the dog fights high over the sky, historical buildings flattened in the capital. The smoke plumes filled the sky, hundreads of civilians were dead. Supplies were running low, looting had been supressed in the Southern Cities by police authorised to shoot to kill. Many were trying to flee the country all outward flights were congested as the airports that had not been bombed were congested with people fleeing to Auroria and allied nations.

The plan was in place, in 48 hours time a surrender plan was put in place, 4 hours before that as many troops would try to escape along with large numbers of planes. The navy would be put to sea to fight the war onwards from Clandonias colonies overbroad. With over 2000 troops now dead, and over 10,000 dead commanders put forward their plan surrender.


To the Belkan Military Leadership

Accept our formal surrender from this time onwards, our forces will no longer attack unless to defend themselves but white flags will go up. We hope that your forces will respect our civilans who are traumatised and running low on food and supplies.

As the the flotila left as many as 120,000 Clandonian troops had via transport aircraft and ships escaped with large numbers of aircraft touching down, the entire F-302 and bomber fleet had managed to flee with many numbers of fighters and the entire navy had escaped from their ports. Clandonia would fight on as the situation changes, for now this had been a defeat but the war was not lost......

The surrender of the Clandonian troops was taken at precisely 12.00 noon that day. Any renegade forces were dealt with brutally and swiftly. Indeed, they were crucified just like renegades and traitors of several thousand years ago. Belkan flags were raised throughout Clandonia, and local government officials began to disappear. Gasoline and even natural gas were rationed to civilians, and a seven-o-clock curfew was immediately put into force.

In Belka, the citizenry rejoiced en-masse, as yet another enemy to the Belkan ideal was crushed beneath the great military jackboot.

As the troops arrived in Union City, with the hoars of civilian evacues over 12,000 Clandonian troops had escaped via the air lift and naval forces evacuating. For now time was needed to regroup and organise, the resistance movement was told to lie down for now until the Belkans and loosened their guard....
