Operation Crab Claws - Main Tyranistan Army

The plan for the invasion was simple. The troops from Nacayn would pour over the northern Clandonian border from mainland Tyranistan, while the troops left over from the battle of Pax Germania would pour over the border from the former country, now owned by Tyranistan. This would create a pincer movement in on Clandonia. The Tawfiq squadron of fighters would join in on the fighting.

Terrorist Activities

The Taifaiq terrorists despised what was Tyranistan was doing, and sided with the Clandonians. They would make the first move against their own country, and it would come as a great blow to the main military for sure.

The Tawfiq squadron was going along their route, until they suddenly changed their direction.

A transmission was relayed from the leader of the squadron back to main base.

"What our great nation is doing is wrong. The Clandonians are allies of ours, and the Taifaiq are now no longer your brothers. As part of the Taifaiq group, me and my squadron are no longer under your command. You think that this squadron being called a name so similar to the great terrorist group is a coincidence? No, we was part of it all along. And my squadron will lead the way to liberation."

The Palace - Tyranistan

The message came through to the Palace about the defection of Taifaiq and the accompanying Tawfiq squadron.

The King spoke to Panek, the Belkan advisor. "Taifaiq is gone, this plan will cause more harm than it's worth, they have Targon!" the King said hurridly and nervously.

Panek stayed calm. "Yes, your majesty. But we have the antidote."

"...we also have acid-bombs en-route to your airfields," Panek continued, "You will be able to give as good as you get on the terror weapon front...and for superacids there is no antidote."

The border was layed, any invasion forces would be allowed to continue in, led into the deadly trap of mines and munitions and in range of Clandonian guns and missiles. The deadly cover of glass targon mines would slow down any advance across the dry desert plains on the border. Tyranistani forces had crossed into Clandonian Pax Germania they would face stiff resistance as the Pax Germanian Military was drafted in from their peacekeeping duties to fight the Tyranistani military.

'We have now mined a good deal of the border, the Taifaiq movement will aid us a lot ensure that they are given the latest strain of the targon t-297 strain instead of the s-245 strain the Tyranini miliatary have antidotes this will be a great shock to them as they try to pierce their hearts with the antidote shock as they die on the floor.'

The first wave of advancing Tyranistani were minced by the Targon mines. They were forced to withdraw their advance temporarily while they waited for Belkan help on the matter.

It came in the form of a Yellow Squadron acid bomb strike. Twenty fighters streaked overhead at varying altitudes, each dumping ordinance on the defending Clandonians. Two more broke off before the attack run commenced, and dropped a similar burst weapon upon the Tyrans.

At first, there was uproar, as the Tyrans thought that the Belkans were attacking them. Then the breathing and spasms of some of the afflicted who had been dragged back began to ease almost immediately. The Belkans were dropping bombs of the antidote.

Experimental Weapon Alpha was a prototype fuel air bomb scaled down using a highly volitile fuel designed for maximum effect on a group of forces burning at a high temperature incinerating all in its field of fire.

The Belkan infantry whom the fuel-air bomb was targeted on were incinerated with few survivors. The tanks were much less affected, only two of them brewing up and exploding. The rest went around the wake until the stuff had cleared. The Belkans just kept throwing the acid at the defending Clandonians. Though it might've been brown-trousers time for the Belkan troops, they weren't about to let a little heat get to them.

"Well," one Belkan soldier had been rumoured to say, "at least it's a dry heat."
