Talking about space travel isn't the warp suposed to be randomed and varried? Since everyone except the Necrons use the warp to travel is there going to be a random or some type of varried travel between systems?

one thing their should be are random accounters like warp storms pirate attacks and so forth

pirate attacks are do-able, warp storms im not so sure about, and warp travel isn't randomised, so long as the astropaths know where they're going and keep sight of the astronomican...and the necrons do use warp travel, just it could be a bit harsh if you spend ages building up a huge fleet with all your resources and suddenly it dissapears.

what we could do is have 'tiles' in open space where you can get attacked, you can also station ships in deep space and what not...

or you could use the sarlacc pit code to make some sort of mini warp things that go around swallowing shit in the maps..
