In the briefing room in which was once the Union City Clandonian Airways First Class lounge the leaders of the military services were in a meeting, some had no been so lucky and were trapped in Clandonia hideing out. They had been watching the situation in the Centro Ocean unfolding the large scale attack by the AU, Clandonian commanders were ready to commence operations to free their own lands.


At the bustling Union City Airport expansion continued with Clandonian Enginers making more bays and extending the runway for the large B-1B Lancer Clandonian bombers that had escaped to Surumar.

At a cordoned off area a group of 10 F-302's glistnening black on the wet tarmac being prepared for a mission into Clandonia to destroy Belkan troop concentrations after intel was gathered by the insurgency there.

All insurgencies discovered were met with fierce reprisals. If a Belkan trooper was even injured, a hundred civilians would die at random unless the culprits stepped forward, or were named. In which case, only they would die. It was a bitter blow to all concerned, and the resultant Stockholm Syndrome would result in more than a few collaborators.

While the Belkans permitted building work on the airport, it was heavily guarded at all times, and only Belkan military air traffic was permitted. All the civvy airliners had been grounded, taxied out to the open fields so their hangars could house Belkan planes. Clandonia seemed to have come to a standstill, with all the massive constrictions imposed.

Under the cover of darkness and the rain a Clandonian C-130K flew over the coastline hight up, its mission to deliver weaponry and supplies to the insurgency bellow. These fights had been going on for the last 2 nights after communication with special forces who had taken up command of the insurgency allowing better orginisation and tactics.



With Hercules crews prepared to fly around the clock, many were guessing that one day they would be home again.

Just explain to me how in Christ you're getting a C-130 Hercules behind enemy lines, and maybe I'll take that somewhat more seriously. There is no way in hell nobody'd notice it.

OOC: Easily, turn off all the avionics, fly in low if all your dropping is a pallet its going to be quick and easy an out in time before no one wonders if the blot if a flock of birds or a friendly aircraft.

OOC: If you were to go over water, which you have to, you would certainly be detected. You can't fly below 300 feet all the time, and on the water, search radars are often calibrated with a threshhold of about 30 feet to detect missiles at a longer range.

OOC: Not to mention, where the heck's he launching them from? And there's also the fact of just how tight security is at the moment. The early curfews would make it difficult for anyone to get hold of whatever you drop. Can you say 'lockdown'? Sure, some stuff might get through, but there's no way a few guys with AKs can take down a huge army plus any collaborators (and there are always some. Think B5's Night Watch and you are somewhere close. People get massive benefits and incentives for ratting on their friends. Not to mention that there are Belkans deliberately mingling with the locals...going into churches, coffee mornings and other public functions.).

The time for the Tyranistan Terrorists to act was now. They did not agree with their countries attack on Clandonia and would now show their nation what they got themselves into by doing Belka's wish.

Clandonian Airport - Deep into the night

The Taifaiq terrorist group was preparing a massive operation to secure the airport so Clandonia could land supplies and have a base of operations in their taken over country. Around 50 thousand soldiers had been recruited and countless citizens willing to kill themselves for glory were ready too.

The Clandonian Airport was near the Tyranistan border, by the section of Tyranistan controlled by Taifaiq. The troops had poured over the border and were heading to the airport. Many citizens drove trucks loaded with explosives, ready to explode and cause enough confusion to get troops into the airport area.

The citizens in vans, who had got over the border easily due to being Tyranistan citizens, exploded into strategic targets on the border, causing much confusion and allowing the soldiers to press on. A massive amount of suicide attacks occured all over the area surrounding the airport, while much of the remaining bombers targeted the Belkan barracks in order to delay more troops.

By now, the soldiers had gained entry to the airport and had taken control. They had something up their sleeves to secure the perimeter - Targon. This would be used in modified crop sprayer type instruments, and sprayed all around the border, creating deep protection from Belkan forces. This would only last so long though.

In the skies above the airport

They knew Belka would throw what it had at the airport and they wouldn't have much time to get the Clandonian planes landed. It certainly wouldn't be long before the Belkans simply wiped the airport off the face of the earth with their air power. However, it was the Tawfiq squadron's job to stop this happening. The entire squadron was patrolling the skies, surveying the insane amount of plumes of smoke rising from the ground from suicide attacks, and these would defend any incoming planes and the airport from Belkan airstrike.

'Sir message from the Taifaiq, one of our AWACS in Patrol in the Exoan got a transmission'

'What is it?'

'They have secured an airport in Clandonia!'

'Good God! get some troops in there, get the Chiefs Of Staff in the briefing room'



Clandonian Forces Aurorian Command HQ, Union City Airport, Auoria

'OK We have several members of the 16th AA Brigade preping for launch in the next few hours, we are diverting several destroyers and missile cruisers from the patrol in the Exoan offshore, Nimrods will go up to go hunt for any hostile naval forces.'

'Airforce can bring in heavy transport with the C-17's and C-5's now we have the third runway operational here.'

'Good, rebel groups in Clandonia will begin a process of possible recon of landing sites for Paratroopers and to look at possible beach sites.'

'I would of sent the carrier taskgroup but they are in operational status as we speak. We will have to surfice with the current forces that we can spare.'

The attack had come without any warning, and any suspicion of the attack was primarily directed at the Clandonians, and it took some time before the Belkans were able to deploy that which was necessary to finish the airport off, giving a short window for supplies to get in. But not long.

However, when the truth of the matter rang out, Panek was first to sink his hooks into the King.

Panek dismissed the guards in the throne room, grabbed him from the high chair before throwing him to the ground. From the back of his trousers he drew a large and very powerful pistol, and brought back the hammer, tossing a picture of the damaged airport down in front of the king.

"Tyrans did this. A group called Tafaiq. They even have AIR SQUADRONS! How could such an organisation slip through your net? We're acid-blasting the airport as we speak, but right now you are going to give me everything your army knows about Tafaiq. You are going to have your police and your secret police scour the entire Tyran nation, and you are going to make sure this group is destroyed. I don't think there's anything more to be said, except that this nation needs more public executions. Just don't make yourself become one of them."

Cotor Airbase, Clandonia
1400 hours

Reinforcements had arrived in the form of the elite 16th Air Assault Brigade soldiers craveing for Belkan blood and revenege. The C-17 Globemasters brought down the troops and their light equipment while from offshore the Clandonian Navy was there with two helicopter carriers with the Brigades combat air element, the AH-64 Apaches on the decks, ready to deploy. As the troops parachuted outwards off the access ramp pallets of equipment and ammo were drooped the small force of 4000 could maintain the airport until more reinforcements from the Tafaiq and the Clandonian navy arrived.


Clandonian F-302 and AWAC's support combined with the help of the Tafaiq airpower would keep the Belkans on their toes.

This is attack wing whiskey, 'we are going into high altidue defence positions be advised Belkan units are moving towards the area.'

'Roger, we will begin setting up the defences we have L118 105mm guns incoming from the C-5's as well as light armour Scimitar's any anti-tank work will have to be done with Milans and support from gunships off the coast.'

CENTCOM had moved over from the previous days Op in Atlantia to this, the New Warrier Task force had been orded into the region along with the 4th Bomber Wing in Auroria to be mobalised ready for action if required. Plans were being looked at to landing troops via assault ships on the South Eastern Coast near Phoenixia.

As far as the Taifaiq were concerned, the airport was an inpenetrable fortress.

The fighters would patrol the skies, preventing any bombing attacks.

Targon protects the perimeter allowing no soldier in the airport alive.

And if that's not enough, there was 50 thousand soldiers and the Clandonian reinforcements inside.

The Belkans weren't getting in. The time to fight back was now.

Classified Clandonian Chiefs of Staff Briefing on Clandonian Front
2118 Hours

'Gentlemen, the Casmirians have been causing a great deal of trouble to the Belkans with their insurgency however, there have been massive civilian killings in retalition. This is why I have not ordered the groups to attack yet.'

'OK then we have the taskforce on route?'

'Yes, they will have regrouped with the supply ships URCNS Paxworld, URCNS Pishwake and URCNS Piranah.'

'Good, now we can begin phase two.'

'Yes, we now have a good chunk of the Exoan Fleet active with 32 Destroyers and Missile Cruisers, the aircraft carrier of course and our submarine fleet. Logistical support is being provided by the Fleet Resupply.'

'We are not in a position to launch large scale operations but we are looking into landing in South Clandonia near the Phoenixian Bay on the beachs there, the tides are good for this time of year. We think the Belkans will weaken their hold there to reinforce their position in Casmire.'

So the plans were being made, after the operation at Cotor it was looking good, if we did another operation like that we could secure armour and Atros. Thank god the Belkans havn't found that yet, well even if they did they wouldnt survive getting in its defences are highly sophisticated. The fight to free Clandonia continued....

A Belkan special forces team, equipped with NBC suits, were covertly inserted into the territory past the Targon line. Dangerous as it was, the team was there to paint targets for the artillery once the initial runway strike was made.

That first attack caused heavy damage to the runway. It would take weeks or even months to repair the crater. Meanwhile, the Belkans slipped in and began painting targets. Points of congregation among Clandonians, the odd vehicle here or there...anything to spread worry and disarray amongst them.

Cotor Airbase, Northern Clandonia
0010 Hours

The attack had been short and brief, but the runway was unusable for now, 45 men were dead from the artilery. Clandonian naval forces from offsure had been ordered to move within their range to target Belkan forces with bombardment from missile cruisers.


'Sir the runways out we are no longer able to bring in supplies.'

'Roger, that bad news.....'

'Damn, how else are we going to be able to do it?'

'No idea sir, we can continue to drop pallets in but nothing bit wise.'


With their only airport knocked out no one knew what to do they hoped the Taifaiq could pull something off. The plan rested now on the Warrier Taskforce being sent to the region it was hoped they could pull something off. Planning was no underway to land in at least three locations on the coast using marines and paratroopers inside the country to take key positions.

And so the operation began, the naval taskforce that had been out in the Exoan Ocean began its attack on the small offshore island of Neucora Island with 20,000 marines landing on the beaches populated with hotels and bars of the holiday spot.

Aiming to take the airbase, they would be able to free up the Airforces Reserves F-22 collection from deep storage. Then with the combined Phoenixian Bay Force they would aim to move inland to the mainland, taking back the remains of Kirkland Down's two operational runways and the secret underground network at Astros freeing up Clandonias most advanced weaponry that had been hidden in the deep booby trapped network.

Then with the military able to land again freeing up armour and its hidden assets they would move to take back the citys and capital.

The 3rd Marine Commados took the airport allowing for Clandonian C-17's to bring heavy armour of Clandonian Challenger 2 tanks.

On the mainland 3 Para had made its first combat jump, taking Astros, the place was deserted, untouched by the Belkans as they opened the vast underground hanger doors they saw inside the rows of pristine equipment. They were ready to to bring in the pilots and crews for all these new shiney pieces of hardware.


In Union City more troops were being prepared for more jumps to take back Kirkland with the following vessels preparing to put 40,000 more troops ashore.
