The topic says it all.

My favorite? NEXUS. Autoheal units, roboticness, powerful mantas, and evil take over the world scheme make it very appealing.

I've allowed for combinations if you can't decide on one side.

Please don't use the None of them option.

I'll count each vote in the grouped choices as a vote for each of the sides in the choice.

So.

NEXUS: 6 votes

Freedom League: 2 votes

Allied Legion: 5 votes

NEXUS and the Allied Legion are the most popular sides.

Can someone close the poll?

EDIT: Woah. Revival. I changed my mind. The poll must go on.

AL is my ultimate fave. Flashy gismos, lots of lights, big explosions that are fuck-awesome. But I like NEXUS a lot to play online with. His infantry just fucking rape.

I never ever play FL. I don't like them. Don't get me wrong they're a cool side, but they just don't work with me :p

Agree with Ash here. AL is the most advanced fighting force, it just has a good modern-era esque feel to it mixed with future century technology. Plus fighting for whats left (orderly left) of humanity.

Freedom League is meh.. although its fun sometimes. Least favourite.

NEXUS for the Terminators :p

Would you mind elaborating on that? Do you have a battle story about this?

How does one fight a guerilla war with the Legion?

Sounds interesting.

That is best I mean worst experienced against Elerium, you have to face him to get that :p

One thing is for sure Elerium+AL=Annoying and deadly. One second you see an illusion tank targeting and firing at your power plant when going there to stop him he starts pounding on your factory.

Civilian buildings are always and I mean always occupied with his soldiers unless blown up or you manage to occupy them before him :p

Constant attacks with weather tanks that really wears you down.

Miners erased if you stray outside without protection.

This is just a small amount of the Elerium tactics and the rest will kill you if you do not pay attention all the time and I do mean all time (coffee and lots of coffee is recommended against Elerium :p ).

He is a good and worthy opponent especially if you want a "clever" opponent :p

His weakness is too many illusion towers or no base defences but he is good at mobile defence and illusion, weather tank usage.

As for me it was FL, then AL and now finally Nexus :p

I use random tactics as Ash would know :p

Thanks for explaining. Hmm...I think you can fight a guerilla war with any side if you keep mobile and pound the enemy relentlessly.

Chrono technology instantly allows me to gash at your weakspots. Freedom League has slow units, the fastest ones are weak but low in cost though. NEXUS however is more suited to mass frontal assault.

And yeah all the comments above pretty much sum it up  But you haven't seen all of the tactics yet..

My analysis of the three sides is as follows:

Allied Legion: Well suited for ambush with chrono and illusion technology. They rely on high tech light shows to dazzle their enemies and deal damage. Seriously, is there one Allied Legion unit that doesn't create a light show? Excepting the F-22 and regenerator.

Freedom League: Hmm...I don't play as them often, so forgive me if this is off. They are suited to the rush. Sending as many powerful units to the enemy as fast as they can is their main strategy. They can also demolish enemy rushes with their units quite nicely.

*Sends loads of bomb trucks at advancing tank column*

I think that they can be best described as a conglomeration of all the technology they can get their hands on and sheer fanatacism.

NEXUS: I like this side a lot. NEXUS relies on massed groups and auto-healing for battle. They don't have any units that make them good at ambush strategies so they have to use a frontal assault. Except for deployed terror drones, but those are mines not units really. NEXUS is a machine and his side feels like it. His units are all versatile and nearly all can be transported across water in one way or another. The only two that can't are centurions and predators. His versatility means that nothing that could stand up to its equivalant in the other sides in a one-on-one fight without autohealing.

Feel free to post your own opinions.

Want the Manual's view? Since you're all so obsessive about it.

The Allied Legion is the most technologically advanced of the three factions. Utilising ‘Chrono’ technology to both teleport and erase, combined with advanced energy weaponry, pulse guns, stealth camouflage abilities and the almighty particle gun, the Allied Legion are a formidable foe for even the largest army. Einstein has really come up trumps for them, giving them a massive technological edge. Their weapon systems enable them to decimate any foe, and their attacks are dazzling lightshows of pure energy, razing enemy bases with ease. However, they are quick to fall foul of bankruptcy and blackouts, due to their spectacular weaponry and production costs. A number of their advances move into technological territories even they do not fully understand, and so some of the less familiar techs can prove very unstable.

Strengths
Air Superiority
Weapon Firepower
Stealth and Chrono Technology

Weaknesses
Economy
Base Power
Armour strength

Other
Cost increases to marked price of all units upon Battle Lab construction.
Can sell units at Service Depot.
Can see all map with Radar station.

The Freedom League are a conglomerate of former-Soviet personnel and fanatical zealots from across the war-torn globe, who have forged an alliance of necessity in order to survive the technologically advanced forces of the Allied Legion, and NEXUS’ numberless mechanical hordes. In their arsenal is a very mixed bag, composing of everything from guerrilla weaponry, terrorist tactics, chemical warfare and in the later stages of the battle, very impressive heavy armour. What they lack in technology and armour strength, they more than make up for in dedication, resourcefulness and versatility. They favour very fast hit-and-run or kamikaze techniques to harass, as well as balanced numbers amongst attack forces in order to maximise effectiveness against all foes.

Strengths
Cheap
Powerful surprise/shock tactics
Excellent anti-tank capability
Base Power

Weaknesses
Weak early armour
Difficult to control
Poor defence structures

Other
Has Emergency Repair
Can double up infantry production with Cloning Vats.
Freedom League Refineries have a higher yield.
Has two ‘offensive’ superweapons.

NEXUS is the forbidden fruit of Professor Einstein’s robotic toils. It is the AI that now strives to create a perfect world devoid of all human existence. It is the overlord and supreme master of a numberless horde of robotic minions that grows with every passing moment, and that spreads out from its hive-brain core to overwhelm the world with numbers and sheer brute force, all programmed with two key directives: Obey NEXUS, and bring permanent peace. Impervious to environmental factors that easily eliminate human foes, NEXUS is able to throw forward an arsenal of robots who are immune to chemical, biological, even to an extent nuclear warfare due to their inorganic bodies, and capable of repairing themselves. NEXUS technology stems partly from what was present in the human arsenal at the time of the AI’s creation, mix-matching between the three former enemy sides, and also from what it has managed to appropriate and improve upon from the current sides. Laser and railgun technology seem to be particular favourites, as well as landmines, all implemented for their effectiveness in destroying organic creatures. The NEXUS army does not excel in any area, and since NEXUS’ troops are mass-produced and have no military regimen or chain of command, there are no promotion prospects for robotic troops.

Strengths

Excellent economy
Self-repairing units
Good all-round capability and defence

Weaknesses
Cannot promote units
All defences require power
Very few specialised units

Other
Can double-produce infantry with Machine Plant
Can use Machine Plant as a grinder.
Almost all units can see past cloaking devices

Seeing Siege Walkers blast their way through a cityscape and then obliterate a base coupled with Adv. Robot Tanks is truly a sight. Seige Walkers are by far my favorite unit in the game, hands down - they are just a bitch to get across bridges if the enemy is also trying to cross them x_x. They blow up the bridge blowing up the enemies because they hit so hard :p.

All 3. Eventhough the Allied have prices like a take-away after Battle Lab, i still love the design and concept of the units.
