Name: The war in the south
Description:
bfme2 was based on the war in the north, bfme1 was based on the war in the south. This mod will base it on the war in the south again.
Features:
6 factions,
new skins for existing units and heros,
new units and heros,
new maps,
working create ahero for all factions,
working war of the ring mod for all factions,
working ai for all factions
new spells,
new heros powers,
portraits and button images from bfme1 brought back,
loading screens from bfme1 brought back,
balence inprovements,
ai inprovements,
new team colours,
and much more!

Factions:
Gondor
Strength = infantry
weakness = heros, siege

Rohan
Strength = Cavalry
weakness = siege, defence

Eriador
Strength = heros
weakness = cost, numbers

Mordor
Strength = numbers
weakness = cavalry

Isengard
Strength = armor, weapons
weakness = magic

Evil Men
Strength = stealth
weakness = infantry

Nice work tom!
I really dont know why ea didnt use there evil men and rohan stuff they could of turnt it into 2more factions.

The unused Rhun buildings bring a nice oriental feeling. Keep it up.

i have released the next update at my forums, but ill post them all here anyway :shiftee:



im going to post an update every other day! rather then saving aload of stuff up and posting it every other week :p

so here is some very rough statistics of how far though the mod is.

coding = 30 %
skinning = 30 %
mapping = 50 %
Overall = 40%

Evil Men = 70%
Mordor = 70%
Isengard = 80%
Gondor = 80 %
Rohan = 50%
Eriador = 30%

and here are 4 new screen shots showing most of the haradrim stuff

here are the haradrim buildings, you shoudl reconise the mumakil pen, the 2 buildings with spears and bows leanign agasint the walls are the haradrim barracks, and then there are 2 haradrim towers guarding it.
Evil men wotn have walls, bu they have the advantage that their towers are stealthed!

a haradrim army, spears on the flanks, half trolls of the south at the front, haradrim bowmen behind the half trolls, 2 mumakil at the back, with the haradrim leader riding the mumakil in the center.

basicly the same, only with the haradrim leader on foot, with the red serpent guard whuch are a royal guard type unit.

a close up of the haradrim leader and his guard. I am going to make alot better skin for for him though.
