"Attention Casmirians. For the duration of this conflict, we have done our best to be lenient and benevolent amongst your people. However, transitions never go without incident. Your people have been given the most freedoms and courtesies of any, and yet you repay our softly-softly approach with barbarism, terrorism, and hate.
This will no longer happen. All territories liberated by Belkan soldiers will now be subject to the same rigid discipline we have even been forced to exert on our own people. You can embrace our rule. You can even collaborate and be granted a number of benefits. Or you can resist, and suffer penalties. Penalties against yourselves, and against others. Whatever it takes to restore order and prevent future incidents, we will do. Do not force us to take still more drastic measures.
Early curfews were introduced, and army and MP patrols marched up and down streets round the clock. One incident provoked...shall we say, a disproportionate reprisal. To the tune of entire families being incarcerated for even such as a five-year-old child saying anything negative about the Belkans, the logic behind it being that the parents must've said it in private, and the child repeated it. Such sewings of sedition were leading up to a purge. Dangerously close to a purge. And the thinly-veiled threat of the public TV announcements only confirmed the gravity of things to come.
God knew what would happen were a rebel raid on a Belkan military installation to take place, if entire families would 'disappear' for something so innocuous.
Big Brother was taking the form of Prime Minister Cheroklev, and the Thought Police were in fact the Military Police.

A cargo truck stopped at a Spiraxian checkpoint, unloaded it's cargo as 12 armed militia jumped out and opened fire on the Belkan checkpoints guards. A fire fight insued that resulted in the death of 8 gunman, and two captured, two appear to have escaped.
Unconfirmed 6 Belkan soldiers died with 14 more wounded.
In other news:
Belkan patrols have come under increasing attacks in both Casmire and Hyphendon. No deaths are reported but unconfirmed reports say that a number of Belkans have been wounded and at least 3 militia have been killed.
In Tibius, a large truck bomb was detonated as it attempted to enter a Belkan military base. It is reported the truck was disquised as a Belkan transport truck. Number of deaths are as yet, unconfirmed. This is the first reported insurgent attack in "The Pass" as of this date.
A video released today from someone name Ali-Tarik Khalil states
"The Casmirian Liberation Army is ready to increase the number of attacks on the Belkan occupiers. We have many great things in store for the Belkans. Many great things indeed..."

"In a breaking news story today, a small-sized Casmirian town has been utterly firebombed out of existence by Belkan forces in a reprisal for recent attacks upon Belkan military forces. Additionally, random public street executions are taking place. Secret reports are that it does not even matter if those the Belkans find are responsible for the crime, indeed it appears that-
Oh, no...Belkan forces are entering this newsroom. I urge any Casmirian citizens and rebels to stay in their homes and not-"
A loud gunshot and a splatter of the female newsreader's brains across the back-board of the newsroom ended the transmission. The camera was toppled over, and the screen turned to grainy black-and-white snow with a loud white-noise hiss.
These weren't the only two atrocities carried out by the Belkans. Elsewhere, villages were being displaced, their entire populations rounded up and executed in a genocidal display of power, designed to bring terror to home. The Belkans' warning had not been heeded. Now it was time to show that it had not been a hollow threat.

Why not just drop a few nukes while you're at it?

We have to report from undisclosed locations based on the recent voilence.
But it is to be reported. That numerous attacks against the Belkans have risen to a new level of violence.
In Hyphedon, two Belkan checkpoint guards were cleaved from the right elbow down and then set free. "It was a horrible mess, I'm afraid..." ~reported by one witness.
In Livus, 8 armed gunmen achieved a surrender of 4 Belkan guardmens. The milita removed the right arm of those Belkans by machete, they were then set free. One died from blood loss in the exodus.
In Casmire, a large truck bomb exploded near the Belkan checkpoint to enter the military base. No confirmed deaths besides the suicide bomber.
NEWS UPDATE, a kidknapping of the immediate family members of the Belkan High Command of the Casmirian occupation has taken place. A wife, and two daughters.

IC:
With the recent rise in activity against the Belkan occupation, additional troops were moved in to quell uprisings. As well as the (stuff which happened in the other thread), it became common practice to block roads to cities or installations off to all except Belkan military personnel. Executions, instead of being done in warehouses or former police stations, were now done publicly in the street. And lord knew, there were enough of those these days.

With the recent power outages, it's difficult to get clear information. But it appears 20 or so armed gunmen stormed a Belkan run police station in Spirax. After initial success, the gun men retreated from the police station.
They jumped into an open bed truck, many gunmen died before even getting into the truck. It raced away down Harbour road and sped around the corner of Reflaim lane, when the persuing Belkans sped around the corner a large explosion happened.
Another magnesium truckbomb literally tore through the Belkan convoy. Though the truck of gunmen were cornered and gunned down some blocks away, As many as 40+ Belkan soldiers and at least four vehicles are reported destroyed.
The attack also allegedly killed over a hundred Casmirian civilians either caught in crossfire or a direct casualty of the magnesium truck bomb.
~Ali-Tarek KhalilI cannot condone these attacks aymore. There are too many people dieing. These are not coordinated attacks from the CLA. They are acting independant. I publically denounce these attacks on civilians. Especially Casmirian civilians.
