EA's new community manager Predator has posted this at BFME's forums:

Hey everyone,

Its my pleasure to announce that Patch 1.05 will be going live tomorrow (Tuesday) in the late afternoon Pacific Standard Time. I would look between 5PM - 6PM.

Though i've only been here a short time, I am posting this under APOC's gratitude as well, and i'm sure everyone can start to breathe a sigh of relief, yes, it is here!

Below is the full- change-list for all the factions, general changes, various bug changes, etc. Please read it in full, a lot of things tie together so make sure you understand what you're commenting on before you comment.

This patch has been through hundreds and hundreds of hours of testing, so I hope you all enjoy the new competitive level it is sure to bring to BFME II.

Play before you flame/praise :-)... yea...try that one

-Predator

•Walls, wall upgrades and wall Hubs can now only be attacked by siege and structural damage dealing units

yes, I was hoping that they would change that.

Hehe...but the brainless AI makes them go attack walls anyway.

Alot of the things changed I really like, and there are some that I strongly disagree with. But this patch was needed, and seems a good addition.

Want to hear something strange, I only play against the AI due to lack of skills and time. But I had an enemy AI build walls the other week and my ally climbed thoses walls and attacked.

I never saw the AI build walls before, I always thought they couldn't. And I never saw an AI climb walls, yet I watched them do it in that game.

I found that very odd... The script obviously exists but does not fire off often. I was totally dumbfounded to run to my enemies base and see walls, and then see my goblin ally climbing them. It was an 8 player map with a large lake in the middle.

Usually when you play against Isengard AI, computer builds some walls but not much more than just a hub and little bit of wall.

This really is great patch but Dwarves having hobbits from Inns really sucks. :) After few test plays I can say: I really like all the changes even tough hobbits from Inns are bad but it is balanced now so nah.

Hostile, thats rare, what difficulty, what was the other faction, DETAILS MAN DETAILS!

They were goblins. Both the enemy and my ally. The enemy was brutal and the ally was medium.
