'Gypsies' as such in the UK can be classified into two groups.

The ones that Ali is on about are 'travellers' and travellers are really annoying, nearly everyone hates them as they do indeed steal stuff, ride quadbikes to drive everyone crazy, roll caravans into fields and people's backgardens and pollute/abuse the land, refuse to pay taxes or state accommodation, drink obscene amounts of alcohol and when they finally get a day before an eviction (lasts about 2 weeks wait) they instantly pack up and move somewhere else, it is sickening.

Now the other ones are the true Gypsies now these people I do not mind at all. Sometimes they arrive in caravans and park in the right designated areas where they live for a while and then move when they feel like to another place and are generally not a pain at all. They also pay their taxes, which is also good because they are not frauding the state like the travellers above.
