I have it preordered for when it releases November 7th. I can't stop playing the first one, it's just so damn addictive. Plus this version has tons of new features, like practice mode and co-op play. Here's the songlist:

1. Opening Licks

* Mötley Crüe - "Shout at the Devil"
* Danzig - "Mother"
* Cheap Trick - "Surrender"
* Wolfmother - "Woman"
* Spinal Tap - "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight"

2. Amp-Warmers

* KISS - "Strutter"
* Nirvana - "Heart-Shaped Box"
* The Police - "Message in a Bottle"
* Van Halen - "You Really Got Me"
* Kansas - "Carry On Wayward Son"

3. String-Snappers

* Foo Fighters - "Monkey Wrench"
* Alice in Chains - "Them Bones"
* Iggy Pop and The Stooges - "Search and Destroy"
* The Pretenders - "Tattooed Love Boys"
* Black Sabbath - "War Pigs"

4. Thrash and Burn

* Warrant - "Cherry Pie"
* Butthole Surfers - "Who Was in My Room Last Night?"
* Matthew Sweet - "Girlfriend"
* The Rolling Stones - "Can't You Hear Me Knocking"
* Guns N' Roses - "Sweet Child O' Mine"

5. Return of the Shred

* Rage Against the Machine - "Killing in the Name"
* Primus - "John the Fisherman"
* The Sword - "Freya"
* Thin Lizzy - "Bad Reputation"
* Aerosmith - "Last Child"

6. Relentless Riffs

* Heart - "Crazy on You"
* Stone Temple Pilots - "Trippin' On a Hole in a Paper Heart"
* Stray Cats - "Rock This Town"
* The Allman Brothers Band - "Jessica"
* Jane's Addiction - "Stop!"

7. Furious Fretwork

* Anthrax - "Madhouse"
* The Living End - "Carry Me Home"
* Lamb of God - "Laid to Rest"
* The Reverend Horton Heat - "Psychobilly Freakout"
* Rush - "YYZ"

8. Face-Melters

* Avenged Sevenfold - "Beast and the Harlot"
* Suicidal Tendencies - "Institutionalized"
* Dick Dale - "Misirlou"
* Megadeth - "Hangar 18"
* Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Free Bird"

And of course, there will be many bonus tracks like in the first Guitar Hero. I can't wait.

Bumping because this game is so awesome and you all need to get it. It'll be the best 80 bucks you'll ever spend.

Also, how good are you if you play? I'm alright, I can get through about half the songs on expert, but I'm not really much of a hero yet.

played it the other night at a friends, it's just absolutely awesome.

for anyone that doesn't own a PS2, or doesn't want to spend money on Guitar Hero, you can try out Frets on Fire which applies the same concept to a keyboard.

The songs I know on GHII are better than the songs I knew on GHI.
But the songs I don't know on GHII are worse than the songs I didn't know on GHI, so I'm finding it hard to be bothered to go through a load of rubbish songs I don't know.

Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You, Freebird, Sweet Child of Mine and Bad Reputation (I'm sure they could've picked a better Lizzy track) almost make up for it but it seems to be a case of 1 awesome song piled in with 4 not so good ones.

I need to rest my wrist at the moment following a sprain from playing a real guitar, then I'm going to totally rock the Spinal Tap song (which I'm sure isn't in the first group, though that may be because my sister was playing on easy).
