I'm certain that day & night cycle in YR maps is possible since I've tried some of it, made by RVMECH himself, real neat stuff since WarCraft3 was the only RTS to introduce it, and adding them up for D-Day maps would certainly be superb. So Mig, since you want to tap YR to its full potential, I would strongly suggest a day & night cycle. Pls Mig? It will certainly make D-Day the best with everything it has to offer from units, eye candies and fine, realistic maps. :)

What do you guys think? It's a great addition and will certainly make a realistic mod complete. :p

Omigosh, thank you Mig, D-Day is my dream come true

Ooops, my bad, I honestly didn't know that.

How about weather effects? Random storms but of course it won't damage a thing, only for special effects. How about it?

Don't do it, plz. The transition gets annoying after about two and a half minutes.

It takes about 2 hours to go threw a complete cycle, after two and a half minutes the lighting wouldn’t have even changed yet :p

Umm.. 2 hours is too much. I have experienced very few games that last longer than that. Maybe make it 1 hour.

Well I like playing 5 hour long games but that might just be me :p’ Not all maps start at the same time of day BTW & it’s really just to add a bit of atmosphere.

If you're having night and day cycles, will you add something like the lightpost from TS? :p

Street lamps use alpha lighting on D-Day if im not mistaken so you will have to use those. Damn that sounds awsome.. the middle of war, some lone squadron running through the blasted streets, their only lights being emitted from LT_GENs... :p

Was trying to figure out how to do it for Landship...

How about weather effects?

Also considered for LS, but In a word, "lag." In two, "Chronic lag." Although it may seem cool for about four seconds, it would just get annoying and slow the game down.
