I saw an ad for a game for 40k in the pc game magazine. It said it was an expansion for an RTS, do you guys know what its talking about? And where i can buy the original version of the game so i can get the expansion too.

You may be talking about Dawn of War Dark Crusade, and if you are you do not need the first games. But if youu want to play online with alll the races then you need the original Dawn of War, and the expansion Winter Assault.

So when is Dark Crusade coming out? And how much is winter asssault and the original game? are they compatable for XP? Would i be able to find them at walmart?

you see here in england we have a low tollerance policy on stupidity, it astonishes me that people no longer use there own common sense and initiative to take the 10 second to find the answers themself.

People at the Warhammer40K forums we have may be able to help you better.

Afaik it is compatible with XP. At bol.com they sell Dawn of War plus its expansion Winter Assault for 25 euros (approx 27-28 dollars). Dark Crusade is the newest game, you don't need Dawn of War to play it, but if you want to play online with all races you must have it. Dark Crusade is sold for approx. 35 euros, 38-40 dollars.

ya i was readin at work during lunch, and i had to either pay 20 bucks or put it back. Thank you Blaat85, you are very helpful. But do u think id be able to get the original games in stores? (i got 80 bucks+ burnin a hole in mah pocket) And yes, im an american but that doesnt mean im stupid. Its just that whenever i use google for anything i almost always get nothing but junk or porn. When i was looking up space travel once, i got the result "naked b*tches in space" and thats something im just not interested in.

I don't know a lot about American stores, but if bol.com sells it some American shops may too. If they don't have it lying around there, ask for it and they may be able to order it or to grab a copy from the back. I don't know specific names of shops in America so I can't check on that, if they have an internet site you may be able to view what they have. Alternatively you can try to order off bol.com or another online service.

You should check Googles preferences, you can adjust some options there that should stop things like that. Under preferences scroll down a bit until where it says: SafeSearch Filtering.

Sorry if you found that to be insulting or over harsh, but...

If it's in a magazine, I can assume it's a recent magazine. So, if the game is being advertised in a recent magazine, it would make sense that the game advertised is a recent game. If the game is recent, it will very likley be available for purchase in a Wallmart as Wallmarts sell literally everything being the evil embodiments or corporate domination that they are...

Next... going with the recent theme, of course they will be compatible for Windows XP. To be advertised in a recent magazine the product must be playable on current operating systems, thus it won't be Vista only, and it won't be based on Windows 95.

Also, Winter Assualt and the Original Game are not going to be exuberantly priced, nor immensely cheap. Again, one can deduct this by the recent-ness of the game. It won't cost you too much, you can actually get Dawn of War and Winter Assualt in a double pack...

Finally... DOW gets mentioned enough around here, and you've been around since May... I'm sure you must have read a reference to it somewhere...

Tau rule! besides, how do you pronounce tau? Is it like tow, or toe, or is it like Touw like ow as in owie or something.

Also, i found all 3 of them on walmart.com! yay! but i my mom has to buy em for me cuase of that crappy M rated game law. Thanks guys, all of you. Even cal helped me out. You guys have showed me new cool game that im sure will consume hours upon hours of my life yet again. thanks again.

And Tau is pronounced as to rhyme with cow... like Taw or something . The narrator guy says their name in the introduction to Firewarrior which is a ps2 first person shooter based on the Tau.

Uh Americans invented google and the internet basicly. Mabey not 100% of the internet but I am willing to bet more than 80%

Oh and sad but true we already got Dark Crusade. In a matter of fact we got it weeks before you blokes did ; )

but yeah US knows all about Dawn of War. Well most of us.
