Does nobody read on buses anymore? Or am I the only one who actually reads? o.o

15 mins bustrip where you're really lucky if you get a seat and where in rush hour you're glad if you're actually in the bus? Where half of the drivers also drives a bit rude? I'd like to see you read in bus 12s in Utrecht  lol..

I read in the train sometimes though (or at the station if I have to wait longer than some minutes).

What the hell difference does it make if the bus driver's rude as to whether you can read? o_0

And in your case, I would be referring to the train rather than the bus.

Because you can't read when the book keeps slipping off your lap.. if they're real rude you need your hands (or at least one of them) to hold yourself not to fall off your chair or something. Apart from that I may get dizzy (something we call 'car sickness' but not sure what the English term is), not sure if I have it in the bus, never tried.

And yeah I read in the train now and then, it depends on how tired I am (whether I'd rather close my eyes and dream off ).

So, if the bus driver's rude, you end up with the book slipping off your lap.

I shall assume you mean not that he's rude, but that he's just got an aggressive driving style. Otherwise, you're implying that his harsh and abrasive nature is somehow influencing the laws of physics

I mean how they drive but I could not find a better translation at the time being (I said something along the lines of "Where half of the drivers also drives a bit rude?"). I'm tired still from yesterday and I wasn't home to look it up.

Lets just say I once actually managed to fly through a part of the bus (yes it was hurtful). Gladly not all of them drive this way.

I read on the train. People who read on buses or the tube are just mad. (Well, unless it's like, more than half an hour. Half an hour is about the limit i think.)

I use my iPod for all three though, sometimes when i'm reading as well.

I read on the train, I walk to school and I go by car every where else, buses are quoted by me are for jagged commoners usually smell of piss and full of chavs at the back.

I use the train for long journeys and the bus or walking for shorter ones. I try to use cars as little as possible.

I would rather walk than take a bus, they are terrible as they never go anywhere near where you want so you end up walking loads. And dead complicated with he dozens of different numbers they have like the number 3A,B,C.

Beyond the contemplation of the tiny minds of rich people, that's why cars were invented, see.

Or it's better to just get the exercise. At least then you don't end up having to haul your fat ass by bus all the time because you get too tired while walking. I can run to school on a day without snow no problem at this moment and I have like 1,5km (if not more) to make.

ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

If I'd walk to Utrecht it'd take me one-two days lol (I think it's over a 100 km). But if it's a short distance that can be nice.

Wow. Once my bro and I went for a walk to the local game rental store, just for the hell of it. It's like 1.5 miles from here, so I think that'd be around 3 km or so. I'd say it would take you around twelve hours for a 100-km walk, Blaat, as I think that's how long it would take to walk around fifty miles, nonstop for me. I think I'm converting right... (1 km = .54 mile, right?)

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

i love listening to music while i read. it's relaxing.

also why would anyone want an ipod or mp3 player that plays videos? i mean youd be on the bus or something straining your eyes trying to watch on the 1-2 inch screen. anything that is cheaper becuz it skips this feature is a winner in my book.

3.5" QVGA TFT with 32bit color. I don't care how good you think an iPod with a thumbnail is, my PDA is better.
Try reading on a bus over unsealed jungle potholes, your eyes will kill you.

@ Nology
I'm not sure how far exactly it is. 1 kilometer is rougly 0.62 mile according to a site on the internet. Either way it'd be a crazy thing to do.
