i have one really unique idea for mod that can make the game much more funny and interesting.

basic idea is that for each unit there will be "captains", basicly single units with special abilities. but what is more interesting that this will not be still the same unit all the unit. there will be couple of abilities for each type of those captains, as well as couple of weapons and armors. and from those will be chosen few for the captain.

so you can get either strong or weak captain. but you will not know how strong or weak he will be till you will build them. you can get hero like unit or relativly weak unit.

these parametrs of units will be less or more randomly chosen.
- health
- weaponset
- armorset
- number of abilities
- abilities itself

but i will not handle this mod alone so i want to ask if anyone is intrested in this idea and will help me with that.

I didn't say you weren't doing enough, not at all. I said I'll help you as soon as BFME+ is finished. The more you do, the quicker you will get your support (admittedly it would still take a long time) :lol:

Nice idea. A while ago I thought about plain captains, but they didn't add too much to the mix. With the randomisation, you turned the basic idea into an original idea :lol:

For their abilities, I would give each and all of them a leadership, effecting only their unit type. The leadership modifiers should be random too of course, both in type and in value you could vary ^_^

yeh, leaderships are on plan, but various ones. some affecting just damage, armor or experience with difrent power as well. i think this could be really intresting think to make and more intresting mode to play.

If I wasn't so busy fixing a bug where Ivory Tower KILLS you in my mod, I would help. Sadly, I am too busy fixing a bug where Ivory Tower KILLS you in my mod to help. I would though, if I could. I am also needing to find a way to make another type of resources in my mod (I am not sure if I can do that, but maybe when I am scouring the ini files I will find something of interest like that, or maybe the ability to make washrooms where your nits HAVE to go every 10 minutes or they die. That would be because if you are holding a poop in for 30 years, you are bound to die. THINK ABOUT IT!!!

Back on topic: Good idea! I however am not really modding much nowadays, so I can't tackle it for ya :( If I do get back in the game, would you mind if I stuck it into my mod?

It's a good idea... And as most people here, it seems, I've had a similar myself once...

I'd love to help, but still, I've got BFME+ to take care of... And atm that's about what I can do modding-wise, since I haven't really been in the mood for quite a while now... :lol:

I might do ya some favours on and off though... We'll see...
