Well, at least EA is trying to create a story for a cover-up. That's better than C&C Generals anyway, which the storyline is sux.

Tiberium, General: A plant that extracts minerals from the grounds, forming a large crystal on top of itself. Spores for the plants comes from tiberium trees, which again are earth trees mutated by the tiberium plant. The plant can also reproduce itself.

Green Tiberium: Common Tiberium crystals.

Blue Tiberium: Made by the same plant as Green Tiberium, but having different minerals, so it is both more valuable and explosive.

Basically, the only way to stop tiberium from growing is having a thick border of mineralless soil around the area you want to protect, and systematically obliterate any tiberium growth you can find within and on the border.

It is tiberium crytal fragments that are dangerous, not the plant, as the plant is left after tiberium is harvested, an consequently stepped upon by soldiers.

Tiberium can only grow in soil or on humans, not on vehicles or buildings.
