thats bullshit, only people i know who have it are online. all mine are 98SE or ME, the entire college uses windows nt, and a small part uses 98SE. the school where i used to go all used 95 and 98SE.

most new computeres sold will be XP now, but most people arn't going to update their operating system just cos theres a new 1 out. i can't even run windows 95 on my 386. and XP won't run on my computer, cos its so damb shit, thats XP i mean.

yes says me, what type of operating system uninstalls itself when you plug in a graphics card? 2000 and me didn't do it, so why should XP?

your comp is the dodgy bit not XP, prob compatavility problems. Or the cracking you did on the windows Xp wasnt right.
Ether way its not Xp's fault, as i put a new one in and it didnt do it.

nope, a perfectly working brand new geforce 4 4800TI VIVO at AGP8x
the problem could be that my mobo will only do 4x, and with the current processor, 2x. but still, uninstalling itself?

AGP 8x cards aren't backwards compatible with WinXP, if you're gonna get an AGP 8x card get a board that supports it!

the college would never buy the students a peice of software, if we need software, eather we have to use it on the college system during our spare time, or buy it yourself.
