1.Binded it wrong.
2.Didnt place the model/textures in the right directorys (art/w3d/2letterfolder/etc).
3.Didnt make the asset.dat correctly.

Thats all i can think of right now.

Hmm... Does that really make the model turn up invisible in-game? I've never had any problems with that... :p

yes Night, they show up invisible ingame IF their binded "wrong"... if you use too much time on a bind or something, it happened to me all the time when I used Sy's asset ;)

2.Didnt place the model/textures in the right directorys (art/w3d/2letterfolder/etc).

1.Well i cant remember why but it has happened to me before. I rebinded it and it worked. Also happens when your models name is to long.

2.Uh wrong forum sorry. Didnt look at the name. Well add it as art/w3d/model here then. Happy? :p Its basicly the same anyway.

If the mesh name in 3DS/RenX is two words (e.g. THEODEN MESH), then Sy's asset builder will not recognise it, so it'll be invisible in-game.

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

i think it has something to do with the export settings?
never heard that the modell will be invisible, if it is binded wrong ;)

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

arg, so that's the reason......

F**K liberty! whatever that means
well, don't use Sy's anymore, so.... care ;)

EDIT: and the question man, if you read any of this, please reply... when I moved it, there was no link from GtO's forums... dunno why...

yeah that is one of the more common causes though I wonder how EA got them to work like that. From my experience wrong binding has never made a unit invisable it's usually a w3d,directory or asset problem.

And this is why you should always be using EA's asset builder. Nothing you do with the binding will cause the model to not show up ingame, so long as you use their program.
