Anyway, I've never ever played an online game. I doubt I could even beat anyone when playing my own mod.

Come on Cel! You can't be that bad.

Yeah there is some truly bad players online. One rohan person I played did nothing for about 10 minutes, then sent Legolas alone to my base. My Theo + Rohirrim pwned him and then he quit when he died.

Man this is off-topic though. First it was about Rob's map, then modding differences between the two, and now it's discussing BFME1 strats

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

Meh, the original question was answered to satisfaction, and no one seems to be dying from the shift of topic, so I'll let it run.

I can't say I would have done that, but I do hate to see my units die (I totally suck as Mordor/Isengard) so I'm incredibly conservative when playing.

remember guys, we're in the off-topic section, so it doesn't really matter, as long as Rob's with us
And I'm probably a medium player, but I don't play online much. I hate to play a "Gondor Isengard vs Rohan Gondor"... ;)

Lol, I only ever start with unit-production buildings as evil (and Rohan if you count peasants).

I'm with Celeglin on this though, I hate to see my units die. If I'm playing with an ally who is good I will actually remove rank 1 orcs from combat in order to heal them by a well.

Thats my mordor strat, orc spam to distract the enemey, i normally just use an attack move to there base whilst i focus on eco, then its Nazzi and WK time, mumakil can be good, but you need some Rhun soldiers first, then get catapults and you win.

Yes, this is totally fine by me.

We have talked a lot about Bfme1, but what about BFME2? How many think that number 2 is more balanced and fun to play online than the orginal? Just curious to see what people think of BFME2 online.

It is good. I have been so busy modding/mapping it, I don't play too often. I am now a medium player (Level 6 Isen). I want to get involved in Clanwars again, but none of my old Clan Mates have bought BFME II yet :thumbsupsmiley:. For a while I played online like crazy, but got bored of it. I will still fight any of you if you want, but I am alot better at BFME I.

I'm like Celeglin , I've never played an online match. EVER.
I can hardly beat Brutal Army ,, well maybe I can. ;)

As Mordor in BFME I , I liked to double orc-pit rush the AI ,, worked pretty well

BebbEdit: btw ,, sorry for bringing up a half-dead thread <^_^
