The legendary Dc-3 stood steadfast for decades as the most efficient cargo plane ever built & is still being used to this day by some freight companies 71 years after its first flight! The Dc-3 was in service with just about every major country during WW2. Along with the American built versions the Japanese licence built several hundred of them & the Soviets building several thousand more.

I haven’t made the Japanese L2D Type 0 version as they are getting something home grown instead.

(I think the french also called theirs "Dakota" btw)

Are you going to make a post-war (spooky?) gunship version or is that just far too far out of your timeframe?
Being a total douche.

The AC-47 Spooky was made in 1965 so it's way out of D-day's timeframe.

is there any major difference between the transport planes of each period in terms of speed/health and number of troops carried (dunno if the game imposes a limit) or is it mainly cosmetic?

(about the french "dakota", I heard an ex pilot from the war in indochina call it like that, it's easier for a frenchman than trying to pronounce skytrain anyway

who's complaining ?

in the same line of question, is there any major differences between the types of bombs used by the various bombers of each country. I suppose the size and power of the bombs change with the size of the planes but I'm wondering if there's stuff like fire bombs/napalm or what not.

There isn’t much difference in the heavy bomber airstrikes but the medium bombers use a vast array of different munitions.

A combination of overtime at work, Christmas shopping, my new 42” TV distracting me & generally not really being in the mood to work on D-day has meant that there is nothing new atm. I’ll work on some units tomorrow tho so there might be an update later in the week. After that I’m busy until next year so it might be a while before I post anything else.

No big tv to try it with, and I'm sure my sisters wouldn't be impressed; they seem to find Neighbours more important than trying to fit an extra hundred lines of code on the screen :p

My Gfx card has a TV out option but the picture was crap so I need to get a new VGA cable before I can connect the PC properly (going a bit off topic here, oh well :p ).
