As someone pointed out in another thread, this is the second Holiday Season this mod has seen. I wanted to thank everyone who's stuck with the mod over these New Years, and thanks again to everyone who has joined since. I really couldn't do it without you.

So what ever you celebrate, Happy Holidays everyone!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays...and Happy Easter in advance. Indeed this is the mods second year; actually exactly when did you begin working on this mod?

Edit: don't think I've forgotten about that speech that you owe us Celeglin!

...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...

...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...

...Stand, Men of the West! Stand and wait! This is the hour of doom... ~ Gandalf the White, The Return of the King

You'll have to give us a manual on how to pronounce that.

I started with Celeglin and Elrond in May of 2005. I think I officially started working on the mod at the beginning of June.

Unfortunately, it's impossible - I don't think there are right symbols in phonetic alphabet :( , but:

ą - like in French "Clermont", the last pronounced letter is "ą"
ł - French "oi", but without "a", like in Artoise
ż and rz - like in Jacques (first sound pronounced is ż)
ś - like in German word "Chemie" - pronounce "ch" almost like ś

Other letter are prounced exactly as they are written (of coure, they don't sound lke in English alphabet), but "r" has a Scottish tone.

Is Świąt pronounced: shweet

Firstly, I'm glad you're interested in Polish ;)

No, sorry. It's not shweet.

It's:

Ś - I'm afraid you can't pronounce this letter, but it's like very soft "sh"
w - pronounce like English "v". English "w" (I mean the way you pronounce it) is Polish "ł"
i - like "i" from "in"
ą- next hard to pronounce, but it resembles to English "au", like from "Paul"
t - like in "tram"

Well, Polish has some impossible to pronounce letters, but has one advantage: words are pronounced exactly as they are written, of coure, Polish alphabet is different than English.

Man, I had a hard time trying to say that once I figured it out.

Polish is one of the hardest European languages, I guess. Hard grammar, hard pronunciation... English, and even German are much easier. I learn Latin and it's less complicated, too.

Nowego

"nowy" means "new", but Polish has inflection, so it changes to "nowego" in second case.
