I am having a HUGE problem... My Rohan units can't purchase Fire Arrows!!! They can purchase all the other upgrades I give them, and there is no reason whatsoever why they can't purchase these... I have a StatusBits whatever-it-is-called and a productionupdate, both of which should allow them to be purchased. I can purchase the tech at the armory, but when I click on the button for my units it is greyed out and says "This unit cannot receive this upgrade". I also have a weaponsetupgrade tag in there... I have no clue why this is not working. Anyone else had a funky problem like this?

This problem can come from multiple errors.

Are you sure the "armory upgrade" is a PLAYER upgrade and not an OBJECT one?

Are you sure all upgrades exist?

Check your commandbutton that buys the upgrade

Everything checks out mate, I had just finished coding in all the other upgrades for Rohan with no problems. Forged Blades, Heavy Armor, Banner Carriers all work fine, its just these blasted fire arrows that aren't working...

Bleh, I fixed it. I thought that last night when I coded it I hit CTRL + X, but it turns out I hit CTRL + C. In other words, I didn't remove the old version of the upgrade, and the old version has a "RequiredObjectFilter" requiring a MOTW building. I feel pretty stupid right about now :p

This has happened to me before also, but it was with a map.ini file. When I couldn't figure out what was wrong, I just redid the whole entire upgrade again. I know that really doesn't make much sense, but that's how I gotten things like this to work.

I redid the upgrade several times, by copy pasting other upgrades and editing them, and by typing it all out by hand. Problem was, I kept using the same upgrade name, which made the previous entry (EA's version) take dominance over it and not let my hordes upgrade. Oh well :p
