How do I restore the CD again? I did it one time...but now I forgot.
By the way, sorry for all the questions. Thanks for helping.

EDIT:Nevermind, I figured out how to restore. I'll try it now.
EDIT:Okay, I hit the "repair" button, and I think it worked...But how do I get the Zero Hour files back now?

ANOTHER EDIT: Okay. So, I uninstalled the whole entire game (zero hour), and reinstalled it. I start up the game, and it's still contra 04, even tough I got rid of all the "contra 04" folders I could find. Seriously, this thing wont go away.
Any clear instructions onto how to do this would help me out a lot.
When I got contra 04, I didn't put it in a "copy of zero hour" like David1 said...and I'm still not sure how to do so actually...

They should've come back when you hit repair.
I will go through all of the steps for you.

1. Open you folder containing Command and Conquer Generals.
2. Find the Zero Hour Folder.
3. Click on it and press your delete key.
4. Click yes when the message pops up.
5. Open up my computer.
6. Make sure your Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour CD is in the CD drive. (If you have TFD I'll cover it later)
7. Click on the Drive containing your Zero Hour CD.
8. "Repair" Zero Hour
9. If for some reason you can't "Repair" it'll just go to Add Remove Programs and remove it from the list then Reinstall it.
10. Install Contra 005 to the Zero Hour Folder *It will be in the same place you installed it in originally.
11.Click on Generals.exe in the Zero Hour Folder.
12. Enjoy.

7a. For TFD users. Click on the DVD drive containing TFD.
8a. Click Launch
9a. In the lower right hand corner Click "Add/Remove"
10a. Click the middle option "Repair"
11a. Follow from step 10.

For my computer, there's 2 seperate folders for zerohour and generals, they're not combined. So I'll just delete that one, I guess. But...where would I find that? under documents?
And...for repairing, the only way I know how is to open up the zerohour window, click "uninstall", and then select the first option (repair)...Could I do that? Cause I don't get the whole "repair" thing...I left click on the c-drive (where the CD is), and there's no "repair" option.
thanks.

Gimmie a second.
I'm gonna investigate this more for you.

Alright try this.
Go to Add/Remove Programs (Under your control panel)
Find Command & Conquer Zero Hour. Click Remove.
*If you used default path* Go to C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Zero Hour.
Delete the folder there. (If it's still there)
Completely Reinstall Zero Hour

They are separate folders. Make sure your installing to the Zero Hour folder.

Woah Woah Woah.
Contra is installed straight to the Zero Hour Folder.
Not C:\My Documents\Command & Conquer Zero Hour Data.
The Zero Hour data comes back when you play the Game.

Install Contra 005 into
"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour"
I think that's the directory.
Maps go into
"C:\My Documents\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data"

Dude, Thank you so much. I've only yet played the AI general, and so far there's a lot of change. Good change.

Is there a way to install contra, and do something with it where I can play zero hour and contra seperately? Modtoaster 2.5 doesn't work on my computer, with every download resulting in "download operation failed."

Of course!
Here's how
1. Go to your EA Games Folder.
2. Find C&C Generals ZH.
3. Right click. Choose Copy.
4. Click somewhere else. Choose Paste.
5. Give it a second. It'll copy some stuff over.
6. Rename it to whatever you want.
7. Install Contra 005 to the new folder.
8. Open the New Contra Folder
9. Right Click on Generals.exe and Choose Create Shortcut.
10. Move the Shortcut to the desktop.
Viola!

A few notes
- It uses up the same amount of space as C&C Generals ZH. So if your low on HD space don't try.
- You still need the CD.
- You don't have to create the shortcut.

Or, if you any good at a DOS prompt you could just make a batch file that changes out the files every time your about to run the game. its actualy pretty easy if you know the command lines.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.
