Alpha Company Training Grounds

"Let's move it ladies! The enemy is not going to kill itself! Gear up and get outside!" yelled the drill sargent. Quickly everyone geared and lined up on the concret pad outside of the barracks. The drill sargent walked around and inspected the company. When he got to me he snatched my battlerifle and fired a quick burst into the sky. "Rifles are NOT supposed to be loaded privite!" he yelled into my ear. "My rifle is loaded in case of an attack, sir!" "There will be no attack privite! But since you think there will be one you can be the first to try todays assingment." He made a motion towards a M12 Warthog LRV.

2035, Planet Reach
6:00 A.M.
Alpha Company Driving Grounds

I started up the warthog and the drill sargent got in the passenger seat, as another soldier got in the gunner's place. All of the other men went into a building to watch from cameras around the track. The drill sargent started to explain the basics of the warthog as i hit the gas as hard Icould. Everyone went into a shock as I flew around a sharp bend and hitting a jump barely missing a rock which could have destroyed the warthog. After i finished the course the drill sargent gave me my Expert Driver medal and kitchien duty for starting early.


EDIT: edited for timeline. At 2535 Reach was destroyed. Also, I had another idea for this portion.

Enroute to drop zone

The Pelican flew above the planet as we headed for the L.Z. Our objective is to secure a cavern which has been reported to have a ancient relic inside of it. As the pelican hovered over the ground everyone jumped out and huddled around. "Ok, this is the plan. We have possible enemy units in the cave. I want silence as we move through the woods to the cave. If I hear a cough from any of you, your going to regret it. Now let's move out." The colum of marines moved slowly through the think woods to the cavern.

Outside of the Cavern

"Everyone gather up! Now here's the rest of the plan. We're going to split in two groups. Alpha and Bravo. Bravo is going to be lead by Hasseler. I want you guys to go in first, and report any contacts. My team will move out in 10 minutes, so let's get moving.

Outside of the Cavern

"Alpha, let's move!" Alpha group moved slowly through the cavern, looking around for any hostiles.They walked for about 20 minutes before they caught up with Bravo.There was half the men then there was before and they were all out of breath.

One of the men from Bravo gathered the breath to talk, "Sir! This must be a exercise for those Spartans of the Chief. We were ambushed by a couple of them, and they took out half the squad." "Alright team, let's head back and see what's going on, then we'll review our data and figure out what to do." The men slowly made it back to the pelican.
