Awesome... here's a list:

Dunland (6 player forest map)
Tower Hills (smallish map, 3p?)
Dalelands (large-ish)
Desolation of Smaug (don't mind)
East Bight (small and well-balanced 2p)

Choose any you want (and that goes for anyone else too).

What inspiration pic? That picture I posted is for you, Jonasking. Btw, as I've told you before, I can't tell anything from a blank map.

@ Max - The East Bight is a large clearing in the East of Mirkwood.

I've never found a photo, my loading image for it is just a generic forest clearing.

So there should be Mirkwood trees on the west of the map. As the clearing is man-made, there should be plenty of tree trunks around the rest of the map (don't go over the top though). Rest of the map should be plains. Fairly grassy, but mixtures of dirt in too seeing as it hasn't always been grasslands.

I've tried downloading the screenshot, but I get and error message that says:

"Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available."

I'm logged in, and I registered ny account, but it still won't let me view the screenshots!

I've done a map for the Tower Hills, it's my first attempt at mapping but i thought i might see if you guys were interested in using it.
I'm still trying to improve some of the texturing and some props as well. If it's not up to scratch that's fine, feedback is good though :p

Tower Hills (3)
The Tower Hills once formed the ancient border between the Elven realm of Lindon and the Kingdom of Arnor.
Starting Positions: Castles
Expansion Points: 2
Settlements: 6
Lairs: Troll and Goblin

It also has a loading pic and authentic looking mini map.

Needs a lot more textures. I have a tutorial on the main site http://www.the3rdage.net covering texturing etc.

Thanks, i'm going to retexture it, so hopefully it'll look better. I've found the balance alright, the bottom castle is further away from enemies, but has further to travel to get to plots and lairs. It's also in a less defendable position so it works out okay.

Anyway i needed a bit of a fresh start, so i tried a different map which i think has worked out pretty well. It tends to look better ingame as well:

Looks pretty damn awesome! Zip it up and send it over. I'll tweak it (the rivers need redoing, and I might replace the bridges) and stick it in game ;)

Also, I might rename it to Redwater or Carnen, as I'd want an Iron Hills map to include the dwarven settlements. Or I might leave it as that map will never get done :good:
