Thanks for your interest.
At the moment the Hobbits will be used for campaign only and for a few special maps down the road.
I made this decision because the Hobbit heroes were superfluous since no one really revives them after mid game.

Also there's a new sig image available.

Double Post...again.

As you guys may have noticed I've renovated the LW subforums creating 3 new subforums.
The first is the new LW maps subforum I've basically moved all the map topics there.

The next is I've created a new section for LWAON found here

Finally there's a new subforum for LWR discussion here.

I've also renamed the Lone Wolf forums to Lone Wolf Mod instead of The Lone Wolf, and I've moved the subforums around a little with the Discussion towards the top.

Damn triple post, Oh well.

I've been a bit quiet the last week or so and I thought let you guys know why.

I've been working as hard as ever on the mod doing the important and not so important stuff.
I've implemented the new AIs for Rohan and Gondor.
I've added new music for Rhun and Harad which involved changing the music system a bit to allow for more than 2 types of music.
Doing research, been very busy as usual researching the lore with Namo's help LWR shall be as lore friendly as possible.
Mapping I've been updating some old maps to LWR and going through them to decide which to update and which remake.
Adding in new props, yep more stuff modders I've added around 10 new rock varieties and started adding some new Tree varieties and updating the old ones.
So far I've coded most of Isengard, Mordor, Harad and Rhun into game laying down the groundwork for later.

If that wasn't enough I'm also working on a little secret update. :shiftee2:

Just figured I'd update you all on my current status in regards to modding.
At the moment I'm taking some time off from modding only doing little bits and pieces here and there.
I need a break to recharge my modding mojo so I've been toying around with Pokemon hacking and watching anime.
I have done some stuff recently like coding in the various heroes with Rohan, Gondor, Isengard and Mordor's heroes more or less done and have been slowly coding Rivendell's.

In LWROS,is Sauron going to be a recruitable hero or a summoned hero with a timer?

I am not too sure about having Sauron summonable for Rhun, were they really that "evil"? :p

Their allegiance lies only with Sauron so they are quite evil indeed :smile2ap:

One of the cool new features I'll be adding to LWR are Game modes.
This are like mini mods of LWR that change the way the game is played.
These are chosen when you launch the mod through the customised launcher there will even be some hidden game modes included.
The first game mode being added is called Onslaught.
Onslaught condenses all the factions down to just 2 Free Peoples (Good) and Minions of Sauron (Evil) with each faction being made of various units and heroes from their side.
Other values are also changed for this mode with various timers and costs reduced.
I'll reveal more game modes over time.

In a technical sense Age of Numenor can also be considered a game mode since it will be able to be launched through the same launcher as Return of Shadow.
