Also the whole WW2 not happening is wierd due to the borders of post war and arizona, iowa jima memorials


Just because Hitler was removed from time doesn't mean the Japanese couldn't have attacked Pearl Harbor, silly. They started their expansionist campaign in 1929, around the time when old Adolf would have been coming out of prison to get that nice handshake.

- Soviet barrack's statue "lowers for turtle mode."


Oh, it wasn't just the barracks, apparently most if not all soviet base structures were meant to do this. I've seen concept art of similar for the battle lab.

That's a lot of assumptions for a detailed canon concerning a game rife with mind control and giant killer tazers. I mean, do we even have definite start/end dates for Ra1? Things like the hind, FROG program and ICBMs came about only because it was more Krushchev's militaristic style than Stalins... and Ra1 ended with Stalin's death.

So trying to play alternate-history gets severly fudged if you try to take the most accurate route.

afaik i read in the cnc enceclopedia at planetcnc taht germany started ww2 but early surrendered to the allies

War speeds up technology ... since the massive industrial power of Russia and her allies was left untouched and all the allied countries including german scientists, it isn't too inplausible.

USA being neutral though and allowing soviets to have ICBM silos (well actually could be MRBM) is a bit far fetched but generally its alright.

Also the Nikolai guy with no Ben Franklin hanging around Russia, I wouldn't be suprised if soviets with there almost limitless resources would go into crazy projects (just like nazism and its occult side)

There is of course the paradox of Kane as well ..

Who cares what the story line is, personally its easier just to let the tiberian universe and red alerts stay apart. Tiberian one is better anyway and doesnt need a tag along like RA2 and YR.

According to ModEnc, FactoryType= once had CloningInf or something to that extent, which would mean that Cloning Vats would work just like a second set of Barracks, meaning no matter how many you make, only two infantry will ever be built.

The Terrorist could originally disguise and plant C4, making him less of a stereotype and more of a cool unit.

Lets not forget the American Super Paradrop, with GIs, Seals, and Engineers.

Chrono Legionary could originally walk normally.

Aegis Crusier originally had a max of 40 shots, which would reload over time. The BuildLimit=2 make me wonder about this unit's application.

The UTNK, which uses the PrismShot when normal, and at the same time looks like a Rihno. When elite, it uses the 120mmX as primary.

Lasher and Gattling Tank originally used Targeting Lasers.

The Hind was redefined as the Cuban Stealth Chopper, which had twice the carrying cappacity of a Blackhawk.

The NukeSilo originally took everything with it in the grave.

The Ore Purifier originally worked like the Oil Derricks.

The Yuri Power Plant might have been able to gaint two upgrades.

This may be a misinterpretation of it's function. The way the cloning vats were supposed to work was as an infantry grinder that would grant you the build option of the grinded infantry. Hence if you yuri'd a spy and sent him there, you could build spies to your heart's desire.

Even in RA2 though, multiple infantry exits on different buildings could create clone craziness. There was an old bug with the old hospitals like this.

That might be true, as the mouse.shp contains a "cloning cursor" which would mean that you actually cloned the infantry instead of just getting two.

The Soviets could recieve a paradrop.

The Allied AmpiTrans originally had half the cappacity of the Soviet version. And vehicles were five big, not three.

AFAIK that was just a scrapped placeholder unit which wasn't deleted or maybe some lunar unit, its name is just ZZZ Not Used

Amphibious Transports were indeed meant to be different and in default ini, the allied one is messed up due to light armor, no crush ability and a wierd threat level.

The unused cursors suggest individual cursor icons (which can sort of be renabled now thanks to RP)

Yeh well they did have the Hydrofoil which used missiles and obviously the V3. Plus after RA1 with SAM Sites it would only be logical for the Soviets to have missiles. Allies originally had flak which was more like AA Guns.

its hard to see from that blury picture. is that from the video in the first loading?
if so, are you sure its not an apoc tank?

Not everysingle one of these cursors can be enabled, even with RP, but they should be abled to be used for weapons. (Green deploying cursor that has the nuke sign above it. Deploy for desolator?)

At the minute, custom deploy cursors don't work in RP. But if and when they do, there's one for the G.I. too. There's also a cursor for the Spy entering a power plant, though I don't know how that'd be enabled
