metal looks wondefull :) cloak texture is probably overdone a bit trough...i would suggest making new anims for the cloak...for some reason i dislike EA's cloak anims. it is not that hard to make them better :p

not hard... :p I'll give it a good try ;) Don't want my favorite evil hero to have ugly cloak :D

atleast Aragorn's anims aren't too much... and yeah, I don't really like the cloak anims either ;)

and about the cloak... the texture is probably overdone, yeah ;) I'll fix that too ;)
however, why don't anyone post opinions about the cloak itself? :p It's special! :) It's my view of "evil" cloaks... you know, the ones that you can take around your entire body, or almost :p

I like it, the only issues have already been mentioned: sword and helmet.

The cloak looks very nice and I like the texture as it is... very rough. Maybe make it just a tiny tiny bit darker. And I agree with your idea that the evil cloak should surround him :p it looks good.

Can you show us an in-game screen before you edit anything else though? :) I think it will look great/fine in-game as it is now.

I know that the sword sucks, but the helmet doesn't suck, it's just "weak" :p

Looks better in-game imo. TBH I didnt like the cape that much in render but in-game it looks amazing :p

It's my view of "evil" cloaks... you know, the ones that you can take around your entire body, or almost

nice idea. in that case it should hang around his shoulders more :cool2: the fact that it doesn't is why it looks a bit weird

Personally I find this model to be astonishing in detail when it's up close, the color choice is rich (yet even though it is composed majorly of grays and blacks) the tones and all the shades allow the metal to have more of its real qualities.

The model itself is great, that's settled. The ingame screenshot either is in a bad angle or I just really dislike how dumb downed the model is, but ofcourse the model's viewed from far away. I believe that you should keep one for a portfolio's sake? or awesomness sake and make one for ingame viewing. Everything that makes this unit appear magnificant is stripped in the ingame screenshot, the metal lost its quality, everything's blury it dosn't even look like metal anymore. (Unless it's really dark metal) Maybe it's a judgement of personal tastes but I think you should work on making the texture abit more ingame friendly, exaggerate details, either Nertea or Hostile said that I can't recall. Once that's accomplished this guy shall be badass ;D

My latest all-from-scratch units.... No, I haven't done anything to the models, as their for SotS, and I'd like to only make the skins, and not replace any models... Sometimes EA's rigging is just better :p :p

As you can probably guess on the Uruk-Hai... it's kinda like EA's, as you see the skirt ain't too good... it's just a skirt, not the armor that they should have there too.... I'll probably do something about that later, as I acctually like the skin :) The face on the crossbow uruk is screwed too I just noticed ;)
For the Gondorians.... I don't have the belt thingy on the middle, and I also have the helmet pretty simple... Might do something about this later, but not in near future ;)

Suggestions welcome, critics too...

edit: did I forget to mention that faces is not from scratch? :p

It's not noticable ingame, but for a wee bit more realism on the gondor archer, try making a dfined edge on the armour around the shoulders... Its sharp... how do i explain this well...

Heres what i mean, a defined edge, see how it makes it lok more 3-D ? do that to like the neck and stuff.
