Hello all,

Some of us may have already seen us back amongst the BfME II hostees. That's because this mod was originally planned for release on BfME II.

The idea of making a mod featuring the Star Wars universe, more precisely about the Clone Wars, came to me back in June of 2006 when I realized that there were not any official RTS Clone Wars games, and no complete Clone Wars RTS mod released.

I then gathered a team composed of T3A members. We started work a little but quickly came to realize that BfME II's engine was too limited for our vision. EA then announced CnC3, and after a quick look at the screenshots, we came to the decision that moving to this improved version of SAGE's engine was an excellent option, and would draw more interest. So here I am, presenting our work so far for Galaxy at War for CNC3.

To start off, we have some renders of clone troopers and of General Grievous. Both the Republic and CIS will have three 'generals' available. Generals are high-powered hero units that have some special abilities, but will not have as large an impact as heroes in BFME/II.

Our site will be up very soon, and extended info on tech trees, gameplay, and more will be available then.

If you are interested in joining the mod staff, just PM me and we'll talk further.

They really do look awesome (Been waiting for a good CW RTS!), but one quick nitpick. Don't pilot clones usually wear yellow?
For some reason I think I recall that from AOTC, but then again I think I saw clones with yellow decals at the end of ROTS, so I'm really not so sure.

Well, you are partly right, but in Ep 3 colors became affiliated with which legion the clone belonged to, rather than rank and position. Pilot clones wore unique helmets or accessories, and instead of color patterns, commanders wore the command skirts or pauldrons (Bly has those). The yellow color and pattern was worn by Commander Bly's troops, and the base clones buildable in Skirmish will use that. If we decide to use house colors, then the color you choose will be your clone's paint color, but HC are a maybe.

I'm glad that you like the renders. I have the Grievous video and two new renders ready, I'm just going to wait until the end of today to release them. :shiftee:
