After many beatings from brutal AI skilled Isengard, Mordor and Wild, I decided I would change each faction from the BFME1 to have a starting army.

Each army consisting of four hordes of soldiers and a hero.

As the INI im working on is possibly going to be released publicly (sp?) should I have this change?

i wouldn't add the heroes, but some starting units would be fine. i never understood why they removed them in BFME 2

Im gaming on my second comp as Isengard and Lurtz had to pull back coz the dwarves keep rushin guardians at me, SOO annoying

I kind off agree with taking out the heroes, It means they can come rush your right away, that is also annoying, Although Gondor starts with a Damrod which I cant get to show up in the citadel so they may need to keep him

starting with heroes is a bad idea, since the player has the opportunity to rush even more at the beginning of the game;

i suppose if you wanted to stop the enemy rushing you, you could always instead of giving starting units (which can be used to rush) turn fortresses into creepnests but give them instead of a half dozen goblins 3 0r 4 hordes, permenantly tied to the structure, costing no cp.

That way the fortress has a stronger defence, but they cant attack with it.
