Anyone else seen the new Robotech movie? It was exteeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmllllllllllyyy cool. For me Robotech was the anime show that started it all, Shadow Chronicals basically starts with a retelling of "Dark Finale" and "Symphany of Light". I must say that was such a cool battle, and this movie Rules!

I just saw it yesterday.

Robotech was my first love as well. I own box sets video games, you name it.

I was a little dissapointed with the models and animation. Not quite on par with Macross Zero in my opinion. But overall was definetely and awsome movie.

I was soooooo hoping that they would change into valkeries when they were getting rid of the shadow devices, but oh well.

I hope they continue and make another one.

Yes I know the CG was not "movie grade" but I think mostly it was done to fit then anime since it was done by the guys that made yukukazi.(who are capible of so much more)

p.s. I love when REF fleet opened up with the synco cannons.

I saw it.

It was very good to say the least, although i'm a bit dissapointed that they used CG graphics for the valkyrie's and that instead of good ol' animation.

like Sykes said, no Macross Zero but it was pretty good.

Macross Plus > all though, that was awesomeness beyond words.

also, am I the only one who loved how Mark Hamill's character died?

Yea, it was a very "anime" way to go.

The hints in the special fetures seem to imply another movie or tv series will be made to continue the story. Hope we get to see more of the SDF-3 because it wasn't shown in the movie very much, That and the SDF-4 which is my favorite Robotech ship.
