So...about the thraduil thing...eh...whatever

But i have to say something about Haldir in the Campain...i finally got him to lvl 10 and sent him out to kill a lvl 1 battalion of orc archers (they did not have leadership...believe me i checked)...anywayz...it took him two shots with his sword and bow to kill one...I was all WTF!!! :crazed:

Whats up with that...and like i said...they did not have any leadership...because it happened again later with another batt. of orc warriors

@ celeglin: in mirkwood you shouldn't get any elves right?? well i'm having 5 battalions of mirkwood scouts in my gondor army now. it isn't a problem or bug i just thought it was weird

It's not that you're not supposed to, it's just that with my initial tests, they didn't join your army. It was till further tests later that I found out that depending on levels, Elves may join your army.

:scars:

You must be missing something here. All coding for Haldir works out that he does 150 and 140 damage (sword and bow respectively) at level 10. Level 1 Orc Archers have 60 health and take 100% damage from Haldir's attacks. By all logic, your situation just doesn't really exsist. Were you at Minas Tirith? Leadership FX were turned off in that map to help reduce graphic lag (though the leaderships themselves still work).

Hmmm...thats weird about Haldir. He's only level 5 and he kills Uruks in one hit for me.

Based on what I've heard about Minas Tirith, its going to be hard. Can't wait...

i'm having an example about haldir too.

in anorien i fought against some soldiers of Rhun.
haldir had to shoot 5 arrows to take one down in level 9.
merry however had to strike twice to kill one in level 7(i believe)

merry had 90 attack damage
haldir 142 or something.

perhaps it helps you, although i think it won't.
good luck fixing it

Haldir got bugged for me too all the sudden.

Anyways, I beat Minas Tirith and I thought it was way easier then Helm's Deep.

I actually loved both, but found them to have very particular and enjoyable atmospheres, with a lot of intensity in both.

and mines are quite useful in fact. Post a few elves with fire arrows on the wall, and shoot them mines from afar

my heroes died when an elf shot a mine..... ;)
only aragorn survived.

2nd time was better
no hero died then and nearly none of my units died ;)

all right now the last of the new emoticons which i have to try :)
i thank you

I hate the postern gate thingies.... only use the one at the gate, cause I have to send someone out to take the ram...

I don't do that. I used Eowyn"s spear throw and Haldir's wounding arrow along with FA Yeomen to take them out. Works well.

Once I have full cp and all ups I delete my buildings near the Deeping Wall and camp out in the top courtyard. Elves can shoot from SO far up there and Aragorn + Gimli in front of the gate near the Hornburg (the one that doesn't actually have the gate) stop any uruks from sneaking in. Only prob is that ballistas are OPed and can reach my army from the ground, which should get fixed as they won't shoot straight up in reality but o well, even with Cel's changes this level is a breeze. :p

I hate when they drive their ballistas up on the wall, and shooting my last refuge from afar... :p

Soooo true.

I hate the postern gate thingies.... only use the one at the gate, cause I have to send someone out to take the ram...

Same, though I'll often not even use that postern gate. I stick Fire Arrow Royal Guards + Theoden & Hama above the gate for that stuff..

even with Cel's changes this level is a breeze. :p

Yeah, but what's the fun in exploiting stuff like that? I hope you've tried recreating the how units are placed in the movies at least once, so you can really experience the map for what it's meant to be ^_^.

Oh btw, could I get you guys to check the damage output on higher level Gamling and Hama in the campaign? If you could also check Thranduil, Galadriel, and Celeborn in the Mirkwood mission, that would be great. Need to see if it's spanning all new heroes, or just Haldir. For that matter, check Faramir's damage output as well.
