Here is a better shot. It was based on the typhoon for graphic consistancey. If you take the tower off of the typhoon then widen it to three times its origenal width then renarrow the top front of the haul. Slap some small rockets on it that are alot smaller than dred rockets and then yes it basicly is a typhoon with missiles on it
Ive yet to see a decent missile sub muchless a missile sub with DRED/V3/NewRocket style missiles so I thought Id try my hand at whiping one up.

Try putting a conning tower just in front of the missiles, just to get rid of the blandness of the sub when it doesnt have the missiles!
Realism is so overrated it isn't even funny. You already know what happens in reality, how is that entertaining...?

but the turret doesn't need to be in vxl, or even a turret at all since it can OmniFire like in the original RA1.
The turret is a fixxed to the tower .shp (they are one image) not a voxel but it started as one. Not being any kinda of .shp artist I made the turret as a voxel took a screenshot at my desired angle then cut it from the screen shot and pasted it on to the bare tower. Its the only way I could make a decent looking. It also kinda helps to keep a graphical consistancey with yuri to
btw how do you go about makeing animated .shp previews? Ive see where it runs through an entire infantry.shp sequence in a small post attachment before.
