In this topic, describe some nice TV series you are watching. Maybe we can pick up some tips from eachother

Slight spoiler alert

Lost
A plane crashed on a mysterious island. The survivors are trying to survive, but mysterious powers and people live on the island. All of the survivors have some kind of sin in the past, that they need to deal with.
In Lost, episodes form a large plot together

The O.C.
A teenager from a rough neighbourhood gets adopted by Rich people in a rich city, and many things happen. Unlike what you would think, not just for girls :p
In the O.C., episodes are mostly stories by themselves

Prison Break
A conspiracy from the government leads a man to be sentenced to death. His younger brother is going to get him out of prison
In Prison break, episodes form a large plot together

The 4400
4400 People get abducted over a century, and are returned all at once, unchanged, and all with new powers like precognition and telekenesis (sp?)
In the 4400, episodes form a large plot together

Las Vegas
People run the biggest casino in las vegas, and stuff happens
In the Las Vegas, episodes are mostly stories by themselves

24
There is some kind of threat to the US, and a federal agency has 24 hours to take care of it. Every episode (there are 24) describes 1 hour
In 24, episodes form a large plot together

I also enjoy Lost and 24, though I haven't seen them in a while. I missed a bunch of episodes of each, so I won't continue watching until I'm caught up.

I don't actually watch TV very much anymore. But when I do, the only series I watch are Family Guy, the Simpsons, and Friends reruns.

Pretty much only Futurama and Scrubs. I would still watch Simpsons/Friends, but they get boring after you've seen each episode a few times.

Stargate SG-1: A group of explorers from Earth travel through an alien device known as the "Stargate" to other planets, where they fight evil Aliens ;)

Stargate Atlantis: Spin off of SG-1, a detachment of explorers and scientists from Earth travel to the distant Pegasus Galaxy to the lost city of Atlantis, where they come into contact with a species known as the "wraith"; life sucking aliens!

Avatar, The last Airbender: Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived to together in harmony. But that all changed when the fire nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have past, and the Avatar has been found, as a 12 year old boy, the last of the air nomads...

24: Enough has been said already :p

Fresh Prince: An old 80's Sitcom about an inner city guy (Will Smith) who gets sent to live with his filthy rich uncle in Bel-Air.

Full House: Another 80's Sitcom about a man with three daughters and two friends who try to help him get along with daily life.

Growing Pains: Yet another 80's-90's Sitcom about a family... Don't know how else to describe it.

Well, I haven't heard of many of the series here... and me and my family aren't really permitted to watch most of the tv shows out there. I know my mom is a fan of LOST, but as for me, the one modern tv series we're allowed watching is:

JERICHO:

After nuclear missles strike several areas, the people of Jericho must fight for survival.
Cast includes:

Jake, a young man who ran away from home who was passing through his home town and has to face his past when the nuclear crisis occurs. Eric, Jake's brother, he had to make up for his brother's abscence. To make matters worse, he has fallen in love with the bartender despite the fact he already has a wife. Whats-her-name with the blonde hair, has an old grudge and love for Jake. Her father is a leader of a gang, and her fiancee is considered to be dead. John (correct me if I'm wrong) Hawkins, arrived with his family in Jericho the day before the disaster. He always seems to be prepared and has little time for family life. Whether he has anything to do with the bombs has not yet been revealed. Mayor Green (again, correct me if I'm wrong) the father of Jake and Eric, has to lead the town in the crisis, face his opponent, and hovers dangerously near death when he gets the flu.

Events that happened in the first season:

When the rain takes care of the radiation it threatens to pour it down on Jericho... A gang from outside Jericho gives them trouble... To save Mayor Green's life, Jake and Eric must go to another city to get medicine while Mr. Gray performs an investigation of the Hawkin's household... Food and supplies are paradropped from China and cause some arguments... The girl (still don't know her name) if forced to cover for her father when he is accused of killing the person at the supermarket...

Maybe a little bit more information than necessary, but that about sums up the story. ;)
He who bears skill but lacks effort, makes himself inferior to those who have no skill but try nonetheless.

Holy crap Nertea, how did I forget good o'l Sponge Bob???

Sponge Bob Square Pants: An utterly hilarious story about a yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. He works at a fast food resturaunt known as the "Crusty Krab" making "Krabby Patties". His boss, Mr. Krabs, is utterly obsessed with money, and his co-worker, Squidward, wants nothing more than for Spongebob to move far, far away. Songebob's best friends are Patrick the Starfish and Sandy the Land Squirrel. Sandy's hobby is Karate and underwater Treedome maintenance and Patric's hobby is being an idiot. Together, they break alot of things.

The funniest show Nickelodeon has ever come up with ;)

QFT. Love that show :)

(btw Ched, you really really need to see seasons 4 and 5 if you haven't already, soooo good)

Simpsons, Seinfeld, and CSI re-runs are good too. Does NFL Network or Sportscenter count? j/k
