hate to burst your bubble, but did even half of those characters even set foot upon middle-earth?

Now, I have to admit that I haven't read the Silmarillion in a while, but I thought Middle-Earth was not Middle-earth yet in the time of the great journey. :crazed:
Following that trail of thought, none of your characters are 'in Middle-Earth' and therefore an invalid answer to the question asked in the first post :ninja:

Mine favourite is Aragorn.

@Taralom: Middle-earth was made after the first war. Also the Sil. says that Ormal (the great lamp) stood on the north of Middle-earth.

In the movies, i would have to say Gimli. If anyone other than a dwarf can be awsome and hilarious at the same time, let me know.

But for the books, that's hard one. I would probably have to say:

For the "good guys": Tuor, from the Silmarillion.

For the "bad guys": Sauron, simply because he's a brilliant general. Yes, he prefers a large army over most advanced strategies, but he DOES always seem to know exactly what to attack, and when, and exactly how large of an army to send to crush their defenses without overextending his forces. Plus, no-one else in the history of Arda ever managed to get Eru involved in a war. That counts for something at least ;)

Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them.

Good guys

My favorite Valar is Lorien (Irmo) he has it so easy sitting on an island all day.
I like Feanor, he's so fiery and would've probably given morgoth a good licking (beating) if all those dumb balrogs hadn't got in the way
Ingwe was cool being the high king of the Vanyar (though they didn't talk about him much )
I also like Finwe, he had all those uber elven children, but I don't like how he dies so easily.

For bad guys

I like the Maiar Glithring (he's said to be equal to sauron)

I like good people more I guess, lmao.
