I say we add Glorfidel for a hero for the Noldor, take someone else out. Another great hero would be the elf lord that killed Gothmog. I bet for the most part heroes have alredy been decided though. They have been working on this for about a year now. Peace

Lord Homer, I'd avoid posting about things that you don't know about to save yourself the embarassment.

Gil-Galad is the son of Orodreth, not Finrod or Fingon.

J.R.R's last thought on the matter was this, and he never makes changes like that without thinking it though thoroughly. I don't know why Chris put that he was Fingon's son in the Silmarillion...

There was something similar to it in the Fall of Gondolin (I assume that's where they got their inspiration).

me again. You can call me Carnuke a character in a book I'm going to write (5 books first one is in work).

I'm confused in one source it said the Glorifindel died at the hands of a balrog while he was fleaing Gondolin but in another source it said he traveled during the War of the ring. Which one is true? Were 2 different people named Glorifindel?

They're both true. Glorfindel was killed by the balrog, then re-incarnated. During the second age he sailed back to Middle-earth to aid Gil-Galad, with power close to that of an Maia.

Hm? Glorfindel killed by a balrog? Guess I hav'ta read silmarillion again...
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

that makes sense. And a Maiar! Maiar posess very great power, the balrogs were Maiar that were corrupted into darkness and look how tuff they are.

Homer, get your facts right. Its common knowledge that Glorfindel was killed in First Age and then sent back at the second :)
Alltough it is debated imo if Tolkien wrote it is kinda canon information dont ya think :p

Yea and once again Internet proves its all-knowing power and Homer, if you would check the page about Glorfindel it clearly says that is arguable whether or whether not it was the same Glorfindel

But it's not arguable. Tolkien wrote that the First and Second Age Glorfindel is one and the same.

That was Ecthelion (the first one, not Denethor's father or anyone else) Captain of the fountain guard of Gondolin. He killed Gothmog but he was killed also. And yes, he should be in the game, imo.

Hm. All nice here, with that heroes, but is this mod still in production? Very quiet in the past months....

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

No, Morgoth has to be a Mordor or an Angband hero.
