Another day of modding... and I'm down to this! :rolleyes:
Found the problem with Isengards fellbeasts too, but thanks anyway Cahik. If I hadn't I would have tried that instead :)

No new bugs have been found, but I'm still play testing... :grin:
So currently we have only this left:

---------------------------------
Beta release Bug Reports...
---------------------------------

MEN
-----
- Aragorns "Elendil" gives no effect? (FX is there, but no effect on the enemy units - they don't flee?)

ISENGARD
------------
- Freezing Rain does not rain? (No FX, no rain, no nothing...?)

Help? :wub:

In aragorn.ini do you have
GenerateTerror = Yes
if not that might be the problem

No there's no code like that? But there wasn't before either, and it worked then? Hm, but I could try anyway? Where should I insert it? :s

Aragorn's Elendil effect is done through LUA.

incidentally, the lua file is the same file as where you remove the nazgul from the isengard fellbeast. chances are that something is messed up in there :rolleyes:

compare with the original (as in BFME 2, not your old mod) files and see what's missing :rolleyes:

Boy... thats a LOT of codes to go through in detail, but yeah... It's worh a try! Even though it would be akward if something's missing since I never touched those files before conversion.

And still no new bugs... so these two are the only ones left as far as I know (and hope).

Just thought of something... it can't be LUA, cause I merely copied that file from the original game and added the code for IsengarsFellbeast, then added the file to a Scripts folder in my mod. No other changes were made to the original Lua file...?

Mohaha, dude if I was THAT stupid, I'd hardly have gotten this far as I have with this mod, even with this forum's excellent help... *lol* ;)

Off course I've looked for all things "Aragorn" and "Elendil" in Scripts.LUA... but there's no Elendil at all, and the only Aragorn is this:

function OnAragornCreated(self)
	ObjectHideSubObjectPermanently( self, "PLANE02", true )
end

I doubt that is related to Elendil effect? :(

And this is my "new" (converted) code for Freezing Rain...
	Behavior = FreezingRainSpecialPower ModuleTag_FreezingRain
		SpecialPowerTemplate			= SpellBookFreezingRain
		AttributeModifierAffects		= ALL ENEMIES
		AntiCategory					= LEADERSHIP
; AntiFX = FX_AntiLeadership; FX for anti category
		AttributeModifierWeatherBased	= Yes
		WeatherDuration					= M_SPELL_FREEZINGRAIN_DURATION
		ChangeWeather					= RAINY
		AvailableAtStart				= No
		BurnRateModifier				= -100
		BurnDecayModifier				= 20
		RequirementsFilterMPSkirmish = SPELL_BOOK_REQUIREMENTS_FILTER
		RequirementsFilterStrategic = SPELL_BOOK_REQUIREMENTS_FILTER_STRATEGIC
	End

+

Water.ini...
#define M_SPELL_FREEZINGRAIN_DURATION				180000

+

Specialpower.ini
SpecialPower SpellBookFreezingRain
  Enum			  = SPECIAL_SPELL_BOOK_FREEZING_RAIN
  RequiredSciences   = SCIENCE_FreezingRain
  ReloadTime		= M_SPELL_RECHARGE_TIME_TIER_3
  InitiateSound	 = ThunderStrikesStereo
  Flags				= RESPECT_RECHARGE_TIME_DISCOUNT
End

See no logic why this does not work either??

These two bugs are giving my headaches! ;)

It turns out Aragorn's Elendil effect isn't done through LUA, although I'm 100% sure it used to be :/

Behavior = UnpauseSpecialPowerUpgrade ModuleTag_EnableElendil
		SpecialPowerTemplate		= SpecialAbilityAragornElendil
		TriggeredBy					= Upgrade_AragornElendil
	End

	Behavior = SpecialPowerModule ModuleTag_ElendilStarter
		SpecialPowerTemplate		= SpecialAbilityAragornElendil
		UpdateModuleStartsAttack	= Yes
		AntiCategory			= LEADERSHIP
		AttributeModifier = AragornElendilAntiCategory	; Used for the anti category duration only.
		AttributeModifierRange		= 200.0
		StartsPaused = Yes ; obtained on level 2
		SetModelCondition			= ModelConditionState:USER_3
		SetModelConditionTime = 10.0; 10 secs of glow anim for sword
	End

	Behavior = ModelConditionSpecialAbilityUpdate ModuleTag_ElendilUpdate
		SpecialPowerTemplate	= SpecialAbilityAragornElendil
		UnpackTime			  = 1400								; Drawing the horn
		PreparationTime		 = 1									; nothing
		PersistentPrepTime	  = 1000								; Blowing
		PackTime				= 1000								; Putting horn away

		GenerateTerror			= Yes
		EmotionPulseRadius		= 180
		ObjectFilter			= ELENDIL_OBJECT_FILTER
		AwardXPForTriggering	= 0
	End

That's the original code for it, compare your code to it and see what's different.

This is my converted code...
; --------- ELENDIL -----------------------------------------------------------------
	Behavior = UnpauseSpecialPowerUpgrade ModuleTag_EnableElendil
		SpecialPowerTemplate		= SpecialAbilityAragornElendil
		TriggeredBy					= Upgrade_AragornElendil
	End

	Behavior = SpecialPowerModule ModuleTag_ElendilStarter
		SpecialPowerTemplate		= SpecialAbilityAragornElendil
		UpdateModuleStartsAttack	= Yes
		AntiCategory			= LEADERSHIP
		AttributeModifier = AragornElendilAntiCategory; Used for the anti category duration only.
		AttributeModifierRange		= 200.0
		StartsPaused = Yes ; obtained on level 2
		SetModelCondition			= ModelConditionState:USER_3
		SetModelConditionTime = 10.0; 10 secs of glow anim for sword
	End

	Behavior = ModelConditionSpecialAbilityUpdate ModuleTag_ElendilUpdate
		SpecialPowerTemplate	= SpecialAbilityAragornElendil
		UnpackTime			  = 1400							; Drawing the horn
		PreparationTime		 = 1								; nothing
		PersistentPrepTime	  = 1000							; Blowing
		PackTime				= 1000							; Putting horn away

;	PackSound			   =
;	UnpackSound			 =
;	TriggerSound			=
;	PrepSoundLoop		   =
		AwardXPForTriggering	= 0
	End

There ARE some differences yes... Have no idea how they got there though? I will check my original (before conversion) too...

EDIT: just checked the "original" mod file from the folder swap method... and it's exactly the same? I do NOT know why this effect worked before, but obviously it doesn't now, and having this part of the ogiginal code missing IS strange...
		GenerateTerror			= Yes
		EmotionPulseRadius		= 180
		ObjectFilter			= ELENDIL_OBJECT_FILTER

I'll try and ad it to the game at once! Thanks for the tip Zimoo... (even though I should have been smart enough to double check the original file allready) ;) Let's hope this works...

The "GenerateTerror = Yes" is the most important thing missing.

Zimoo!!! ;) ;)

Thank u for pointing me in the right direction!
Aragorn's Elendil is now not just an FX but also an effect! They run their asses off... again! ;)
And thus - we're down to ONE final bug (since I still haven't forund any others and hopefully I won't) :wub:

Only Isengard's FreezingRain left...
I might ad that it DOES work when the AI plays with Isengard, but not when I do? ;)

And this is my "new" (converted) code for Freezing Rain...
	Behavior = FreezingRainSpecialPower ModuleTag_FreezingRain
		SpecialPowerTemplate			= SpellBookFreezingRain
		AttributeModifierAffects		= ALL ENEMIES
		AntiCategory					= LEADERSHIP
; AntiFX = FX_AntiLeadership; FX for anti category
		AttributeModifierWeatherBased	= Yes
		WeatherDuration					= M_SPELL_FREEZINGRAIN_DURATION
		ChangeWeather					= RAINY
		AvailableAtStart				= No
		BurnRateModifier				= -100
		BurnDecayModifier				= 20
		RequirementsFilterMPSkirmish = SPELL_BOOK_REQUIREMENTS_FILTER
		RequirementsFilterStrategic = SPELL_BOOK_REQUIREMENTS_FILTER_STRATEGIC
	End

+

Water.ini...
#define M_SPELL_FREEZINGRAIN_DURATION				180000

+

Specialpower.ini
SpecialPower SpellBookFreezingRain
  Enum			  = SPECIAL_SPELL_BOOK_FREEZING_RAIN
  RequiredSciences   = SCIENCE_FreezingRain
  ReloadTime		= M_SPELL_RECHARGE_TIME_TIER_3
  InitiateSound	 = ThunderStrikesStereo
  Flags				= RESPECT_RECHARGE_TIME_DISCOUNT
End

*Looks at the top of the page and notices that I suggested u check the generateterror earlier* ;)
That freezing rain thing is weird because I have been checking the files about 5 minutes and to me everything seems to be right :S
