This Soviet Tech Center used in MO has the dot problem - dots on it are visible during the lighting storm or any other light change. Can anyone fix this?

AG: All old downloads removed, except fixed version in last post

which 1 is that?

anyway, the problem is caused by using colours 1-15 and 140-255 of the palette, these are "Uneffected by light" and should be used for lights and such.

Easy and quick way to fix any building with white dot/remap errors.

1. Convert the shp to .tga (XCC mixer can do that with ease, think it is the same with OS shp builder)

2. Drop the files in input dir of meselfs handy tool called Downsizer.

3. Drop the attached palette into Downsizer dir.

4. Set Downsize factor 1, select the palette and seperate shadows set to no.

5. Run Downsizer and in your output dir you have the fixed shps.

Nothing more to it.

i use XCC Mixer to convert to PNG (Requires the EXE from about 3 versions ago) or PCX, and run it through a PSP8 script (scripts mean you can do it automaticly, either with a loaded image, or a bunch of files somewhere.), basicly it applies a palette with these colours set to something like magenta, with nearest colour matching, then applies unittemp again with maintain indexies.

Everything's cool people, but I have noticed that the frames which were supposed to be shadows were extended with empty ones, while the old shadow frames became the ones which appear as a part of buildup. Anyoneeeeeeee?

I couldn't help but notice that there were some yellow dots on the base, and some purple dots on the snow version:

I ran it through the SHP Builder and fixed up the all dots. ;)

Realism is so overrated it isn't even funny. You already know what happens in reality, how is that entertaining...?
