Well if you need me in the future feel free to ask me. I would be most interested in the Evil Men faction but I can pretty much do anything.

I've never really skinned before, because I have trouble with using renx/w3d importer on my computer, but if someone can unwrap blank skins of a model, and post it in .png format, I can try skinning it. I'll do my best and show you what I have (in .tga format, since I can't put it on the model.)

I probably couldn't skin up to SEE standards, though.
Greetings, community.

*bump*

This is where you post applications for the SEE Team :p
Currently I need:

- MODELERS (only a few structures remaining/needed)
- ANIMATORS (primarily to animate a few structure buildups + animating the Moria Cave Troll hero (chain attacks))

Hello I'm a modeler. Have started on a tom bombadil model that I'm gonna use for a personal game. If you want I can help with the modeling.

Not bad, Are you signed up as a member?
Do you have any other works to show other than a head?
How about animating?

Perhaps we should put in a type of application form, like the Revora job application.

When Applying for a Position please include the following details:
- Where can we reach you? (E-Mail/Instant Messaging)
- Out of curiosity how long you have been a member of Revora?
- Any experience in the job you are applying for?
- Other skills that you have that could be put to use (web designing, forum managing, etc)
- If we consider you be more useful in another role, would you be willing to accept that role if given the choice?

Ok he is getting a body too :)
Posted Image Posted Image
And here are some other models I have made, remember I'm still practising. The tom bombadil model is the latest one, so some of the older ones that looks worse. Isn't really the best I can do right now...

Also is it possible to get help by others at this forum? I'm not very good at texturing, and got some problems with bombadil's clothes. And no I can't really animate, I can pose the characters. But every attempt I have made to animate, have ended up to look very robotic. I can do modeling and decent texturing work.

IMO the latter screens are way better than the Bombadil model... If those are really your models, you have enough skills to fit for this production. At least you should have judging from that lion-ish warg-like ting, and the indians too... Looks good!

First of all you should register as a Member of T3A so we can communicate on a more "personal" level... Then I might give you something to do, as an application. And if you pull it off, you'd be welcome to join the SEE Team and forever put your name in the credits of the worlds biggest mod for BFME2 :)

Ok I registered, and ready to start modeling something. I'm not too good at buildings and non organic models. Because there are rules on how they have to look. But I can try make a building or something. Send me something to do I'm restless :)

Also I wonder if someone can help me extract a texture or model of tom bombadil. I would like to make him perfect, and a 3D reference would be useful. ;)

Why not use the one in BFME2? He looks pretty good imo =) You could prehaps try and bind your model to that skeleton and use those anims, just to see how it looks.

As far as model for SEE goes, you could help me with the Khand hero. He is a finished model, rigged to a skeleton with anims, but he's missing wepond and helmet, which are in the model but not rigged to it. I could send you thins model and see if you could complete it? :p

Take the animations from the game? How would you convert the animations in the game over to blender ipos? And can someone help me extract the tom bombadil model into 3Ds or obj format? I could do it myself, but then I would have to waste a couple of hours learning how to do it. If it isn't complicated, could someone extract a wizard model also, would like to have a look at the wizards cloth texture.

He is a finished model, rigged to a skeleton with anims, but he's missing wepond and helmet, which are in the model but not rigged to it. I could send you thins model and see if you could complete it? smile.gif

If everything is completed including the helmet and the wepon. Then what would I do? rig it? I'm not very good at it, and I can only do it in blender....so.. But if you have some modeling work that needs to be done, I would be glad to help.

This mod would be complate when there are a faction for rohan and the easterlings...where can I see how much that is left to do? :p

Ok well as far as I know, all Modelers here work in either 3D Studio Max or the free 3D applications: RenX or GMaX. It's very important that the models are compatible with the game engine which means they have to be viewable in W3DViewer as well (that's where I evaluate them and make screens.

For the Khand hero I meant that the helmet and the weapon doesn't move when the unit does. They need to be "connected" to the model. All units in SEE and other mods, almost always use existing animations from other units. Meaning we use the same "skeletons" and just bind/rig the new model to an existing skeleton that fits the new model. This is the only way to get tons of anims without having to do new ones which would take ages...

I suggest to read up on some tutorials at T3A main site, where you'll also find loads of programs available as free downloads. I don't think we can use models made in Blender... I'm not sure, but I don't think so. Somewhere they have to be binded to a suitable skeleton from the game, and I think you need RenX/GMax for that.

Obviously you can't use the models that are rigged in blender in bfmeII. But you can export the model to a format that you import in the programs you are talking about. So you can still make the models. If you want to join the weapon model with the character model I can do that in one minute. Just send me the model, what format is it in? Blender can do about anything 3Ds max can do, I don't think there is a problem. Here are the formats blender can export to; any of these that you can import into those programs for rigging?
