Ya I totally agree, better than anything (if at all) attempted in the past. As Kravvitz pointed out the base needs something like the existing Weather Control device, a ring of black below it, so it gives the appearance of thickness. Apart from that, it's awesome work!

ok guys, I made this darker part, and it works fine :D , now I tried to test ingame, a quick test, to see it it will blend in with the other allied buildings, though something strange happened, you can see from the pic, also remaps are screwed, I didn't try to fix them though, and I won't know, you can still tell though if it's good or not, I think it's perfect allied scheme, I doubted it before, but not any more, perfect, but still it's up to you guys , also I want to know how to fix that problem, since I Want to make a real test before animating, specially to check the foundatioons, and that no pixels are ommited, also I want to test the gap generator :)
[EDIT]on second thought, the base needs to be darker[/Edit]

If you just overwrote the old one then remove all traces of active anims, buildups, other anims in the code, that might fix it, then you can add them back in later. At the moement it looks as though its pointing at something else as well as your image.

go in to the art(md).ini file and put semicolons in front of the...
[GAWETH]

;Normalized=yes
;Start=0
;LoopStart=0

find the other animations for GAWETH and comment them out to, by putting semicolons infront of them like I demonstrated

Yeah, put some 'wear and tear' into it like the existing structures. Most noticably look at the Chronosphere top, it's not shiny and clean at all, it has smudges and simulated real-life corrosion. That and the improved base would go really well.

k, here's is a totally new face, but I didn't change it to more smudgy and dirty, I just made it darker/more RA2ish, I told rygar to add dirts, he said it's not appropriate for the highest tech building, but I did add some on the grey parts of the base, I dunno what I'll do, you choose guys, dirt or no dirt?

[EDIT]old file removed[/EDIT]

here is the last or prefinal, for real this time, everything is fixed, the grey is old now, looks perfect, when I compared it to the original, the blue parts aren't old, so I left them new, but made them matc the colour of the original, the base is perfect now too, so to me this is PERFECT

Spidey, befoe you wonder, i deleted the full screen pics, because each ate almost a MB of forum space, and for some unknown reason, boards are getting slower and slower.

buildup, I made the crystal, it is in the colours of the gap generator crystals, do you think it needs to be changed, also, what do you guys think of the buildup? I like it for myself, which is a hard thing to do  , btw, this is a version with no AA, that's why it looks like it's resized, I'll render the AA one as soon as I know the ctystal colour :)

I would prefer a blue Crystle, But there aint enough blues in the palet. so orange will have to do. I would just make the middle come up from a lower level, as it jsut seems to apear a little to fast.

the crystal will be completely changed to match the concept  , it'll look great, I'll try to make it light blue, like the prism beam :)
