here's a sample anim that mooman made, it's the initiate anim, but it can't be used as the position of the building is worng,I can render it in the correct position if someone can do that and the reduntant anim and firing anim that would be great, using the same electric anim, which can be found in the RA2 mixes wethb.shp I think, it shouldn't be too hard.

It'll also need the damaged anims, I could help by doing the anim in a damaged state animated, but without the electricity and the blackened parts, those have to be done in 2d. Snow frames from normal and damaged state are also needed.

another thing is the buildup anim, it needs the anti aliasing with the blue background removed.

if someone wants to do all that, at an acceptable quality I'de gladly help him as much as I can, but I can't do the 2d stuff, hence I didn't finish it, and I don't have time to learn 2d.

Im in to try finish it. Snow frames are relatively easy using PSP´s brightness adjustments.

The thing is this should possibly not be made Double thick, itd be way more useful.

I'd use plain lasers instead of electricity, after all, prism tech is about optics, not about tesla (electromagnetics) so I'd rather make it like the prism tank...

An active anim isn't really needed, as there aren't any antenna's to be turned or any other stuff.
We see 3 classes :
"More then 1 minute" = Just silent, crystal enclosed in "jaws", lasers off

"1 Minute and less" = Jaws open, crystal is raised, lasers fire in holes, energy bolt visible at BOTTOM of crystal.

"Fire anim"=Bolt of energy under crystal turns into a giant ion beam, and it shoots upwards, beam visible for some seconds, then lasers drop off, and at the same time the ion beam does too, the crystal is lowered and the jaws enclose it again (=More then 1 minute position)

How will the damage frames be created ? And the snow frames ?

you forgot another anim, the looping anim which gets repeated as long as it's less than one minute, or completelt charged but not activated :lol:

about the electric/prism thing, that's what I wanted at first, but I couldn't get it to look good, if it can be done that would be great, though for the big laser fired from the head, it should be the "electric" one, maybe with a giant prism in the middle, as it is in the concept art

If i was better at anims, i would show mine, but lok at the concept art,
the one that shows firing, does that show the stupid prism beams going into the little holes??? NO IT DOES NOT! spidey, you said you were gonna stick to the concept art, where did the dumb idea of the prism into the holes come from?????

I like it actually. But i agree it should be prism. And also note this: never say something sux untill you've proven you can do better

Look, ok, when i have the time, ill download and use a GOOD program to create a beam for the bloody WCD, and IF, a big IF- i have time, ill create everything else needed. But seriously, I think the charged anims should be a constant beam, and the opening also should have a better charging bolt from the four things, then haveing the beam form and then blasting up, which afterwards will be held constant by the charged anim.
Then when you fire it, the laser that hits the enimy bace can be the unused chrono spiral beam or the ts ion cannon anim. The original sw was gonna be a IonCannon anyway, so who cares if it is the ts anim??? it just needs to be lightened in psp8/7 and itl look just ike a prism beam. :lol:


Also, did ya know that the psychic dominator was called the puppet master, and instead of teh weird star shaped thing on top-o-the dome coming of the top, floating up, than having the ball of energy form- :p

it was gonna be a giant claw with a sphere in the claw part, which would come up and rotate till it got to this direction> in facing. somone should try to restore that. Then when it fired, the sphere would glow and fire a purpleish blue coiled ray into the sky, then the ray would strike, mindcontrolling enimies and destroying buildings in its radius. :?:

maybe ill create that... :lol: :lol: :lol:
