Edit2: I'm using this thread to explain EXACTLY what you need to get this mod rollin'!//Nazgûl :)

  • First you need to go to the SEE Web Station - but I hope you know how to do that? There you'll find the download link!
  • Then, after downloading, you will need to UNPACK (aka "unzip") the file to a space on your harddrive, of your own choise. You will need the program WinRAR to extract the RAR-file. You'll find it HERE!
  • You will now have 6 files. The MOD is one of them (SEE.big). What to do with it is explained in the "Installation Instructions" that is another of the 6 files in the download. It's in PDF format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader to be able to open that document. You'll find that program on ADOBE.COM!
Now, that doesn't sound TOO hard, does it? :thumbsupsmiley:

If you STILL don't get and if you look like this --->
;) ...then try the SEE Team's Support Manager's very own "SEE Mod Install Tutorial" right HERE!

And as a last resort: go to our Support Manager; Clonecommand for help ;)

Good luck!

Now back to the original thread...
Edit: moved this to it's own topic, since it's indeed no bug //Nazgûl :)

Okay, this isn't so much as a bug as much as a downloading issue. I have downloaded the .rar file, but everytime I double-click on it, it is in the process of opening an internet explorer page, and then asks if I want to open or save the file. So I click open, and the internet process starts again, so I'm in an infinite loop :) :p :p . What am I doing wrong?

I knew I was doin' something wrong :p ! Guess I'll just wait tho. Thanks.
Btw, I extract it to "My Battle for Middle-Earth II files" in application data, right? Or is it under program files, and then Electronic arts, "The Battle for Middle-Earth II files"?
Basically is it an ini file to replace the normal one, or just put it under application data, My Battle for Middle-Earth II files, and it will take care of itself and run the mod by me just playing the game normally?
Sorry, but I'm not too great with computers, just the games on them :p .

Thanks in advance.

v1.1 is up at the site now! :p

And if you follow the instructions EXACTLY it WILL work! You must be doing something wrong?

- Extract to whereever you keep files, then read SEE Installation Inscructions, and it's all there. Trust me. Take it slow and you'll make it. It is the exact same method for ALL -mod based mods, so there shouldn't be any problems if you follow the instructions carefully :p

Ok, I just Downloaded the new version. I've done -mod mods like yours before so thats why it's strange to me. I'm gonna go real slow this time and figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Plz do, because the ONLY thing you should need to alter is the "SEE".big, from whatever mod name you had before... :)

This one is actually a bug :) . When I started up the game, it crashed and says:

"Unknown field 'ExperienceModifier' in block 'Object'

Error parsing field 'ExperienceModifier' in block 'Object' in file 'data\ini\object\evilfaction\hordes\isengard\isengardhordes.ini', line 1.

Error parsing INI block ' ExperienceModifier' in file 'data\ini\object\evilfaction\hordes\isengard\isengardhordes.ini'.

Because of the sverity of the error the game will now exit."

Thats what it said exactly. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Did that. Followed the directions, the game was starting, and.........CRASH! Go to the bug reports thread to see what I'm talking about.

Now the same problem as before is happening! The shortcut does absolutely nothing! I'm going to uninstall the mod and then re-install it. I sure hope this works.

Jeez, I can't figure out why you have so much problems with this? I hope this helps... :(

Are you sure you have:

- Original Battle for Middle Earth II
- RotWK is NOT needed, but it wont cause problems if you have it either
- Patch 1.04 or latest (1.06)
- Follow the installation instructions carefully...

If the original game loads, the shortcut is wrong.
Ogiginal shortcut, if you haven't installed game otherwise (like I have) it should be:

You need to open properties of the shortcut, and change the “Start in” box to where you installed, for example if you use the default installation folder, you need to set it to:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
Then also change the first part of the “Target” box (before “\lotrbfme2.exe”) in the same way, but ad the –mod command at the end, like this:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod SEE.big

tm should be ( tm ) also (but without spaces), but for some reason the ( ) isn't included in the quote in this forum...

Otherwise EXACTLY like that... don't forget the " and the spaces, ad nothing like _ or such!
But most importantly, you need to have to correct path to your installation folder AND the SEE.big in your BFME2 files on C: (the regular drill with hidden folders and such)

Re-install, it's an anti-piracy thing which seems to effect people with 100% legal game versions :/
