BFME1:

in bfme1 "Edit=>Skybox Settings" and make it visible though scripts "IF TRUE THEN "Camera=>Modes=>Show Skybox Mode"

BFME2:

ANd in bfme2 place the Skyboc object

PS In bfme 2 Worlbuilder no have "Edit=>Skybox Settings" button

He says: "And in bfme2 place the skybox object" So maybe its an object instead of Edit>Skybox etc...

maybe u have to activate skybox mode with scripts in bfme2/rotwk worldbuilder aswell... set condtition IF to True (is default set on true so u dont need to do anthing) and then set condition THEN to skybox mode (Camera=>Modes=>Skybox Mode) try if that works

There's no way you can do it with wordbuilder. I wrote a short text about enabling them, look at istariproductions forum into assault on carm dum topic.

Hello guys, I'm new to the forum, so I guess that "The Sky has Fallen".

I'm developing a cinematic movie using the sage engine, and would really like to get skyboxes enabled on BFME 2: RotWK. I have attempted simply placing a skybox in the middle of a map, and then doing some camera work, hoping to get a glimpse of something besides a black sky in game. When that failed, I attempted writing a script to "enable the skybox mode" under camera/modes. That also failed to have an impact. When I found out that other people were having the same problem, I knew that I wasn't crazy.

I then tried the solution Dre@mer detailed on the Istari productions forum topic for his beautiful map. I wasn't entirely sure I knew what he was talking about, so I googled some of the stuff he mentioned. I then found a detailed description of how to do what I want to do, but in German!

Google translator failed to make complete sense out of it, but I when ahead with FinalBIG anyways.

Unfortunately, I must have screwed up at some point along the way, because still, no matter what I do, I have not seen a skybox in game yet.

Has anyone else attempted the instructions Dre@mer posted? If so, have you managed to get them to work for skyboxes?
I'd love to get skyboxes in my movie, so I will gladly provide a small map showing what I have attempted to do (and failed) if it would help. Or if someone could point me to a *.map file they know works, I would love to test it out on my setup.

Sorry for the long post, but any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, I looked at Dre@mer's solution but I'm confused about some things he mentioned. Perhaps he could explain it a little better, that would be really helpful. Like for example, where in the world is subystemlegend.ini . I also really need to know how to get cine objects to work, so hopefully someone can clear this up. Here's the quote Der@amer had on making skyboxes work:

About the cine objects, you delete the lastalliance.unit.ini from the .big, then extract the subystemlegend.ini and search for entry include cinematics path - this one exists 3 times - you make a; in front of that entry, you save the file and add it to the .big again. Now you can use some of the cinematics objects (but some of them cause the game to crash). just note that I would never make this without help from one mapper who works for Last Alliance mod...

Awesome! I got it to work. Like dre@mer said, some things don't work, but this is still sweet. I'm going to have lots of fun going through the cinematic stuff.

@ The Red Baron If you need help getting it to work, I will gladly explain it more detailed.

I haven't seen this topic from the time I typed my reply - apologies for late response. If you're still having problems I could upload edited INI.big somewhere, then you just replace your original one.
