Although, really Yoda wasn't that bad. I watched all 6 movies with my boy this month. He had a few lines that were just bassackwards, but most of what he said was plain-strieght english. atleast in the original movies. In the new movies they embraced the cult image that he can't talk strieght.

The have edited certain things.
Liek one of the main things that pissed me off was at the end when darth vader.. anakin skywalker is a ghost and is with obi wan and yoda, it was that man but in the new copys they chanyed it to that young actor that played him in the new movies... that pissed me off.

Yes, I know. I saw that too. I'm not too bitter either way about it. Sure, they changed it, big deal.

It makes sense both ways. If he's old when he dies wouldn't his ghost be old too? OR the ghost is simply an impression of how they see themselves at the time of thier own death. Obiwan and Yoda were comftable with thier old age, but Anakin may have felt young again, having just been saved from the dark side.

Its thier movie, I'm 100% comfortable to let the do what ever they want with it. I LOVE the serries, but I think people who go off on this whole trip about how the original's were great and the new ones suck need to stop and rethink it. The original movies were great, but they were nothing compared to the cultural upheval that followed and the comunity that formed around it. They've forgten that the first 3 movies had flaws and at time bad acting. But, they are caught up in the fanboy-ism and they can't uunderstand why the new movies don't live up to expectations. The new movies (especialy 2 and 3) were really great. The battles were great, the Jedi duels were well coriographed, and the writing was of the original's quality.

Sure, I can make a list of things I would change... Padme needed a different actress. Jar-Jar would have been ok if they didn't include cartoon noises when he did something stupid.... I actualy like Jar-Jar's role in the second movie, he gets manipulated into condemning the republic and they really could have done without 8 yearold anikin destroying the droid ship... there was no reason the pilots couldn't have done it without "kidding" the story. Oh, and Eps3 felt rushed because they tried to squeeze to many events into the 2 hours bracket.

But I can make a list of things I didn't particuraly like about the original trilogy too... Can anyone possibly think Ewoks wern't an attempt to apeal to children at the cost of adult credibility? Or how about the some of the weak acting in the original. in the first movie Han's performance was not exactly his best ever. And Leia was a bitch. There was almost no intrapersonal attachment into the story. I could go on ranting...

But the point is the old movies were not infallable, and the new movies are still good movies. The problem is the comunity had unrealistic expectations. Personaly, I love all 6 movies as a set and remain a fan of the serries without nitpicking them.
