Alas, it never came to more than a partially typed-up tech tree

An idea I had a while back was to make a mod adding two factions to the game - Rhun and Harad. Both would have been fairly unique, or as unique as I could get them, Rhun being similar to Gondor in having somewhat average to heavy units across the board with a few specialties from its allies (Khand charioteers, Dorwinion pikemen). Harad would be a very speed-based, in contrast to Rhun, featuring a massive light cavalry core with reinforcing bulwarks in the form of Mumakil and Far Harad heavy infantry.
That's similar to what i'm doing with LW.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Variags of Khand (as cavalry) is an excellent proposal. You could also use something that are unique for the peoples of Rhûn, maybe like this:
- 'Alter of Fire': structure for worship of Melkor (or rather: worship of both Morgoth and Sauron), giving some magical protection to the fortress, or some other form of evil magic.
- 'House of Shieldmaidens': a building expansion for female warriors. cf.:
------------('Lalaiths Middle-earth Science Pages')
Another noteworthy feature of their society, alien to the West, were their women-at-arms. These provided a distinct "home advantage" for while the male Wainriders were on the battlefield they did not leave "their homes undefended: their youths and old men were aided by the younger women, who in that people were also trained in arms and fought fiercely in defence of their homes and their children." (CE) It is conceivable that during the occupation of Rhóvanion, some Northmen learned from them the habit to train what the Rohirrim later called "shield maidens", (RK) female warriors who would join them in battle or defend the home front.

Researching it myself, I found this
He was said to have been resurrected by the Valar and be given the same degree of power as a Maiar.
I was always under the impression that he came back weaker?

The most extensive writings on Glorfindel is from the very last writings by Tolkien, to be found in Vol. XII of The History of Middle-earth:
After his purging of any guild that he had incurred in the rebellion, he was released from Mandos, and Manvë restored him. He then again became a living incarnate person, but was permitted to stay in the Blessed Realm; for he had regained the primitive innocence and grace of the Valar. For long years he remained in Valinor, in reunion with the Eldar who had nor rebelled, and in the companionship of the Maiar. To these he had now become almost an equal, for though he was an incarnate (to whom a bodily form not made or chosen by himself was necessary) his spiritual power had been greatly enhanced by his self-sacrifice. At some time, probably early in his sojourn in Valinor, he became a follower, and a friend, of Olórin (Gandalf).
